The combination of the spicy dish, the savory pizza, and the tangy-sweet mukbap (starch jelly with vegetables) worked better together than I expected, so I think this will be useful for anyone looking for a Yuseong restaurant, a date spot in Daejeon, or a place for a family meal out. Our order as a couple — Fire-grilled octopus stir-fry set for two, ₩38,800 (cheese add-on +₩3,000)
The basic table setting

This is the basic table setting at Boksakkot Pineun Jip Daejeon Branch. So many varied side dishes come out.
From salad to mukbap, japchae, radish, bean sprouts, and more — a whole spread of side dishes that pair well with the octopus stir-fry.
What does the fire-grilled octopus set for two taste like with cheese added?
Fire-grilled octopus stir-fry set for two, cheese add-on +₩3,000, ₩38,800 total.

It comes stir-fried together with cabbage and onion, and it was packed with plump octopus — a pretty generous portion. We added cheese to our octopus stir-fry.
When you add cheese, it cascades down like a waterfall — the visual alone looked delicious.
To eat it, you put rice in a big bowl, add bean sprouts and other side dishes, add the octopus stir-fry, and mix it all together.

Rice mixed together with the sauce and vegetables into a fire-grilled octopus bibimbap — just looking at it made my mouth water, it looked so good.

I scooped up a hearty spoonful of octopus and bean sprouts — spicy and delicious. You can also choose your spice level; we went with level 2, and the octopus was plump and chewy and really tasty.

The octopus was so plump and big, it was really delicious. It went really well with the bean sprouts.

Eating it together with the side dishes helped balance out the spiciness, and it all came together nicely — the smoky char from the direct-fire cooking was the real draw.
The wood-fired pepperoni pizza that comes with orders of two or more
If you order for two or more, you get a wood-fired pizza — you can choose pepperoni or gorgonzola, and we went with pepperoni.
From the cheese stretching visual to being fresh and hot out of the oven, it was even more delicious. Loaded with pepperoni, this wood-fired pizza had a distinctive charm of its own.

The bibimbap made with the octopus stir-fry was delicious, but topping the bibimbap with pizza was also surprisingly good.
The portion was generous, so we could eat our fill. The sauce soaked into the rice and vegetables so nicely — I could see why this is a famous Yuseong restaurant.

After the meal, they give you a drink for dessert. The menu ranges from Americano to café latte, vanilla latte, chamomile, and peach iced tea — you get to choose. Getting a drink after the meal was such a nice touch.
The café out front after the meal
There's a café in front of the restaurant where you can have your drink after eating. Just like any good café, the atmosphere was excellent, with upscale interior that made for a really nice vibe.

The café even has snacks to enjoy with your drink — nice to have after a good meal, right?
