Where is It's J Cheongju, and what are the hours?

My body felt so different after giving birth, so I searched hard for postpartum care and ended up visiting It's J Esthetic in Geumcheon-dong, Cheongju! It's easy to find even for first-time visitors, and there's plenty of parking in front and behind the building, so it's great if you're driving!

Address: 250 Junggogae-ro, Sangdang-gu, Cheongju. It's open from 10 AM to 8 PM, so you can visit on weekdays after work too (note that it's closed on Mondays).

It runs on a Naver reservation system so there's no waiting, and when I visited, the atmosphere was quiet and private — a really comfortable treatment. There's a review event where you get a sheet mask for writing a Naver review, so definitely take part! (I tried the mask and it's super moisturizing.)

Postpartum consultation and InBody: the 5kg left after birth

After giving birth I had so many concerns — body shape changes, swelling, muscle tension, poor circulation and so on... At It's J, they carefully reviewed my current condition and recommended care suited to me personally. During the consultation, as we talked in detail about eating habits, exercise, sleep and so on, I realized... oh, I really haven't been exercising and my eating habits have been a mess ㅠ

Taking care of a baby means it's too much of a hassle to eat properly, so it's been delivery food and instant meals, basically zero exercise, and no unbroken sleep lately — my whole routine is a mess. I weighed 63kg at full term and I'm at 54kg now, but I'm so stressed about how to lose the remaining 5kg ㅠ Totally lost. I mean, if I exercise and eat less it'll come off... right?

My biggest worries these days are lowering body fat percentage and my arms and abdomen — before the treatment, my InBody scan showed below-average muscle and 30% body fat, which genuinely shocked me haha... Before giving birth I only had a bit extra on my lower body, but after birth I clearly gained a lot on my upper body too, and it won't come off even when I skip dinner.

TNT radiofrequency and Bio Photon: what the 90 minutes involved

The first treatment I got was called TNT, a radiofrequency care — think of it as getting the effect of ab workouts just by lying still. The intensity usually goes up to 8–10, and since I don't have much muscle, even 8 gave me plenty of stimulation.

There was no painful feeling at all, just a slightly stiff sensation like doing light ab exercises — I adjusted for about 3 minutes and then rested while they did hand care.

The second treatment was called Photon, where you just lie down inside a machine — the Bio Photon device emits wavelengths that are supposedly the most beneficial to the human body, and they say just 45 minutes of Photon has the effect of a 5-hour run.

I really don't like feeling cooped up normally, but the inside of the chamber was so roomy that I felt no claustrophobia at all — just a warm, heated feeling, and I sweated an incredible amount. After the treatment they did another InBody scan so you can compare before and after!! The most important part — I sweated so much I first thought, well, my weight probably just dropped from sweating out water, but no, not at all!! Body water was exactly the same! Fat actually decreased and muscle actually increased...

After the session: did the postpartum swelling go down?

The whole session took about 90 minutes, and it felt so great to have some rare time to myself~ I'd recommend this treatment to anyone worried about postpartum weight or brides-to-be with a big event coming up.

The first thing I noticed after the treatment was that my body felt noticeably lighter, and the swelling all over — including my legs, which swell often — seemed to have gone down. After giving birth there's barely any time to take care of yourself between childcare duties, but this brief treatment eased my exhaustion and lifted my mood too.

It's J is a full beauty building — the 1st floor has a hair salon and nail art, the 2nd floor has skin care, lash and waxing, and the 3rd floor has body care and semi-permanent makeup rooms, so you can really take care of everything under one roof, which is so convenient.
