I wash my hands a lot because of work haha. Washing more than 10 times a day means the skin around my nails gets dry and keeps peeling up 🥲

And I guess from using my hands so much for so long, lotion alone just wasn't fixing the dryness anymore. So I decided — okay, hands need some care too sometimes — and went to get a clean, simple manicure.

It's a 3-5 minute walk from Exits 8 or 10 of Seomyeon Station, and you can park at Samhan Gold Gate Parking (Samhan Parking), 112-3 Bujeon-dong, Busanjin-gu.

I found Jsu Beauty easily — it's about a 3-5 minute walk out of Exit 8 of Seomyeon Station.

Walking in, I was greeted by a wall of awards and certificates — instantly reassuring!

This is the inside of Jsu Beauty. The Seomyeon branch had a clean, modern interior. On top of that, some pop-of-color accents made the whole place feel even fresher haha!

There's a space to hang your coat,

and a nail area — all cleanly separated.

Here's the basic price list. I do care quite a bit about price range when getting my nails done, and it felt like a reasonable, not-too-pricey range.

On the right, there was also a board of this month's art — honestly a lot of it was really pretty. But since my job doesn't really allow flashy nails, I had to pass this time, unfortunately ㅠㅠ And just to be clear, none of this month's art designs are Bam-tea (sponsored/paid promo) designs — they're all genuinely pretty ㅠㅠㅠㅠ

Here are my hands before the treatment. Can you tell how dry the skin around my nails is? 😭 I kept getting peeling skin and calluses, which quietly bothered me even in everyday life. So this time, nail art aside, I decided to focus on getting the cuticles and nail edges sorted out.

Before starting, they asked what style I wanted — my aesthetic: syrup nails + natural + soft and delicate.

But I also had a little greed in me, so I asked for a gradation accent on one or two nails. What I originally wanted to do was one of this month's art designs, but 😭 — I explained the vibe I wanted, we picked a color, and the treatment started.

First, shaping the nails,

then she carefully removed my cuticles. The director was calm but very thorough, and honestly, her hands were so fast lol. Cuticle removal is my happiest moment — I'm basically a cuticle-removal billionaire...

They do about 2-3 rounds of applying gel and curing it under the lamp. She lightly touched in the gradation I wanted at the tips too — not a strong, deep gradation, but a soft, subtle one, which gave the whole look that delicate feel I loved 💚🫰🏻

Here are my hands after the treatment. I loved that it was exactly the natural syrup color I wanted, and best of all, with the peeling skin and cuticles cleaned up, my hands just looked so much neater overall.
