What kind of place is Bultina Kkomak Jjamppong Sinbang Branch?

Bultina Kkomak Jjamppong Sinbang Branch is a Chinese restaurant located at 285 Seobu-daero, Ilsong Building, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan-si, Chungcheongnam-do. It's open from 11:00 to 20:30, with last order at 20:00, and closed on Mondays. Parking is available too.

I visited Bultina Kkomak Jjamppong Sinbang Branch because I wanted Chinese food for lunch in Sinbang-dong. The reviews looked amazing!!?!? There's a nice wide parking lot so you don't need to stress about where to park — honestly, figuring out parking is always so stressful haha. On your way out, just mention parking at the counter and they'll give you 2 hours free, so make sure to ask.

Since I went straight from the parking lot, I came in through the back door. Just walk into the building right in front of you as you exit the lot.

Inside Bultina: seating and room for groups

The inside of Bultina Kkomak Jjamppong Sinbang Branch felt pretty spacious too. It looks fine for group visits. Since the name includes 'kkomak jjamppong' (cockle jjamppong), it seemed like the signature dish, but I didn't want to miss out, so I ordered jjajangmyeon and sweet-sour pork alongside it too!

There's a self-service corner with pickled radish, onions, scissors, and more — feel free to use them.

How does the cockle jjamppong taste?

The food came out faster than expected. Everything looked so good I got excited haha. Even though I went a bit after lunchtime, quite a lot of people were still coming in.

Wow... one bite and I immediately understood why it's a jjamppong place. Seriously so delicious!!!!!! There were plump cockles and seafood inside too. Most of all, the broth was so~~~ rich that I loved it. It felt so good to finally find a real Chinese restaurant worth the hype >_< The noodles were nice and chewy too. After eating this, I bet jjamppong-bap (jjamppong over rice) would be amazing too... I've actually never tried it, but with a broth this good, it can't possibly be bad.

Is the jjajangmyeon worth adding to the order?

The jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles) had a different sweet, savory flavor from the jjamppong, so I was glad we ordered both. Switching between jjamppong and jjajangmyeon kept things from getting monotonous — I just kept eating! The portion was pretty big too.

How big is the small sweet-sour pork portion?

We couldn't skip the sweet-sour pork, and I'm glad we went with the small size... between the three dishes for two people, it was so much we nearly burst ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Even the small size had a decent amount. The sweet-sour pork was completely crispy, and the meat inside was tender, not chewy at all. There was plenty of sauce pooled at the bottom, so dipping it in was really delicious haha.

Final verdict and the dish to order at Bultina

Personally, the jjamppong was the most delicious thing at Bultina Kkomak Jjamppong Sinbang Branch. If it's your first visit, I highly recommend the jjamppong. My parents said it was so good they wanted to get it packed to take home!!!!!! That's how good it was~~ It's a place I found in Cheonan that I really hope you get to try.
