Suwolgyeonghwa is an ocean-view traditional tea café on the 4th floor of 188 Songjeong-jungang-ro 6beon-gil, Haeundae-gu, Busan. It's open daily from 11:00 to 23:00 and has a dedicated parking lot on the 1st floor of the building. With ocean views of the Haeundae beach train plus hanok-style interiors overlooking Songjeong beach, you can enjoy hojicha, ssanghwacha, and traditional desserts like the Dalbodeure box — it's a spot that draws a lot of foreign tourists too.

Today's my third visit to Suwolgyeonghwa, a Songjeong café ☕️. It's a place my mom and dad love every time we go, so after eating in Haeundae we naturally headed over again. A warm cup of tea, traditional desserts, and the ocean view through the window with the Songjeong beach train passing by — all three things line up perfectly, so I'm always satisfied even coming back again.

How does parking work at Suwolgyeonghwa?

Suwolgyeonghwa has its own separate parking lot on the 1st floor of the building. Since it's double parking, you'll definitely need to leave your phone number.

The moment you open the door, the ocean view unfolds through the window. Songjeong beach fills the big window in front of you, and it's the kind of seat where you feel like you can almost hear the waves — my mind relaxed before I even sat down. From the window seats you can also watch the beach train go by, so just sitting there for a while felt like being on a real trip.

The window seat is the most popular spot at Suwolgyeonghwa. Sit down and Songjeong Beach spreads out right in front of you — just watching the waves break was refreshing and healing, haha.

While sipping your tea, you might catch the moment the red beach train passes by outside the window. With the sea, the sandy beach, and the pine tree road all lined up, the train passing through looked like a painting in itself.

How the hojigabae, chamomile elixir and iced Americano taste

Hojigabae isn't meant to be drunk as-is — you have to stir it together. Like a harmony of Western coffee and Eastern tea, it tasted like coffee but with a subtle hojicha aroma rising up — an interesting, fun flavor.

The chamomile elixir is a caffeine-free tea with a chamomile base plus lychee and floral notes. The flavor is gentle and not overpowering — a tea that seems perfect for when you want to feel relaxed.

The iced Americano was clean and easygoing, needing no special explanation. The bitterness wasn't overdone and the acidity was mild, so it was a satisfying quality cup of coffee on its own — most people would be pretty pleased with it.

Looking at the sea while enjoying tea and dessert one bite at a time, time really flew by 🌙.
