I went and got glasses made today 👓 I think eyes are the most important thing you have, so you really need to buy from a careful, professional place! It's got parking available, so let me introduce Second Face's Sinsigaji Branch.

Second Face Sinsigaji Branch is on Jwadong-sunhwan-ro in Haeundae, open 09:30–21:00, closed only on Chuseok day. It has its own parking lot, so it's easy even if you drive.

There's a parking lot behind the store, and parking is arranged to match when your glasses are finished. There's a staff member there managing it the whole time!

What the eye exam and eye-condition consultation covered

At Second Face Sinsigaji Branch, before picking frames, they started with a vision check and eye exam. They checked my eye condition carefully while consulting with me, which felt trustworthy, and they chatted comfortably while checking lifestyle habits too — they mentioned they saw slight signs of cataracts in my mom's eyes, so I thought we should visit an eye clinic together soon.

Trying Kamemannen and Kinza frames in person

I started with Kamemannen, which I'd been looking forward to.

Kamemannen is a high-end Japanese titanium eyewear brand with over 100 years of history. The name means "a turtle lives ten thousand years," and it's known for being light and durable with classic designs that don't chase trends.

Kinza (금자안경), a brand I trust, started in Fukui, Japan, as a high-end handmade eyewear brand. They use a lot of titanium and acetate, and their strength is a classic yet vintage design. The frames aren't overdone, the overall look is clean, and they're comfortable to wear — I'd recommend them for daily glasses!

How Lindberg frames compared

Wow 👍 This is basically a Lindberg mecca in Haeundae, Busan haha. They had a wide range of Lindberg glasses, and it was great being able to compare carefully and try them all on.

They look similar but feel different once you wear them — Lindberg — I compared and compared and picked one out haha.

Simple is best! The fit was noticeably light. Seriously, it's feather-light, you barely notice you're wearing it haha. The design is clean without any excess, and it really captured that simple-yet-luxurious quality that's so Lindberg.

Since it's a premium brand, the price is definitely on the higher side, but Second Face Haeundae Sinsigaji Branch discounts these high-end frames to a reasonable price. They run a lot of events too, so it's worth aiming for a good deal — go check it out for yourself haha.

Oakley AI glasses on display

They also had Oakley products in a separate section. I asked if they had the Oakley AI glasses that are so hot right now, and they said yes, so I immediately asked to see them!! haha

Wow, first time seeing them in person 👍 They're smart glasses that can play music, take photos and video, and even do real-time translation.

There's a camera on the side, and a button on the frame. Click, click — press the button and it takes a photo. It really feels like living in a smart, futuristic world.

Even the design isn't bad. It seemed unisex, and even as a woman, wearing it didn't look weird at all — better than I expected.

₩10,000 frames and the kids zone

And it's not all expensive stuff!! Everything is 20–70% off.

There are plenty of affordable frames too, starting from ₩10,000, then ₩30,000, ₩40,000, ₩50,000, up to ₩69,000.

And on one side, there's a Kids Zone. Cute kids' glasses in all sorts of colors too haha.

They had glasses ready at every price range, and while we comfortably tried on this and that to find the right fit, they checked things carefully and recommended based on what features we actually needed.

How long the glasses took, and the fitting

Ta-da~ This is the one mom decided on and liked. The glasses were finished really quickly. While mom and I kept trying on other pairs to pick out the next one to buy haha, it was done in no time!

The owner has 15 years of experience and is clearly a pro — fast hands! You could really see the know-how, and it felt trustworthy.

The fitting was done carefully and thoughtfully too — checking pressure points on the cheekbones, nose bridge, and behind the ears, and adjusting meticulously. After it was finished, mom was happy that she could see well and it was comfortable!
