What kind of gym is Olbaro Gym Gayang?
Olbaro Gym Gayang is a 24-hour, year-round gym at 63 Gonghang-daero 45-gil, Gangseo-gu, Seoul, on the 2nd floor of the CGV building in Deungchon-dong. It's known for its window-facing cardio zone, its stair climber, and personalized PT built on a proper body-type assessment.

If you've been following my blog, you probably already know haha — my workout posts, all thanks to my chronic inflammation issues…🥵 (= left hip pain, weak core, underactive rectus abdominis….) So today, once again, taking one more step toward better health! I visited Olbaro Gym Gayang, famous as the 24-hour gym in Gayang-dong!

I'd always been curious about this clean, sleek-looking gym on the 2nd floor of the CGV building in Deungchon-dong whenever I passed by! Since they have day passes, it seems like a great option if you want to try a high-quality Deungchon-dong gym, or if you're tagging along with a friend or partner to work out together haha.

Window cardio zone and the stair climber
The most impressive space at Olbaro Gym Gayang was the stretching zone and cardio machines positioned toward the window. The treadmills, and even the stair climber, all face outside.
The moment I walked in, what stood out was the open, window-facing stretching zone and cardio machines! Not just the treadmills — even the stair climber all faces the window, so instead of staring blankly at a wall, you get to run while comfortably taking in the view outside, which was a really big plus! Sweating it out while enjoying the outside view meant my cardio time flew by without ever getting boring~

What are the showers like at Olbaro Gym Gayang?
The showers at Olbaro Gym Gayang were well kept! Strong water pressure and a neat personal grooming area meant I could end my workout feeling even better 🏝️

1:1 PT at Olbaro Gym Gayang: the consultation comes first
This time my PT was with a trainer who holds professional qualifications and an impressive career!

Even the consultation before the actual training felt unusually thorough! It wasn't just a simple 'what would you like to work out?' — the trainer carefully asked through my eating habits, my daily routine, which parts of my body currently feel uncomfortable, my goals for exercising, and what I wanted to improve, listening closely to every detail. I could really feel the effort to deeply understand my body's condition!!

Body and functional assessment on the PT room bed
After the consultation, we moved to the dedicated bed set up in the PT room, and I had my whole body's functionality assessed!
After having me lie on the bed, the trainer pressed on my pelvis, fascia, and key muscle areas to check exactly where the imbalance was coming from! They also had me bend, extend, and stretch my legs, testing the range of motion in each joint and muscle tension from multiple angles. They could tell at a glance exactly where my joints were catching, and which muscles weren't doing their job and were just resting! haha

What the PT session taught me
After the diagnosis, the core point the trainer emphasized was proper engagement of force and awareness of the target muscle! Instead of just piling on heavy weight or jumping straight into machine exercises, what matters is whether you can actually feel that the target muscle you want to use is properly engaged!
Rather than just repeating movements, they really taught me the functionality and mechanics of my own body, which made me feel like I was doing 'real, proper exercise' for the first time! They were kind but also fun and engaging, so I enjoyed the whole PT session and came away genuinely motivated to keep exercising!

Looking for a gym near Gayang Station or Deungchon-dong?
The trainers also made sure to keep the center disinfected and tidy throughout, so it was clean and pleasant to use the whole time! If you're looking for a gym near Gayang Station or Deungchon-dong with great facilities and trainers who actually teach you properly, I strongly recommend Olbaro Gym Gayang! ‼️🤍
