Back today with a sponsored post for a Chinese restaurant! Let me introduce a jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) spot located in Yongdu-dong, Deokyang-gu, Goyang — Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch 😊
Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch hours and the busiest times
Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch runs daily from 07:00 to 22:00 with no closed days. You can book through Naver Reservation.
Unless something unusual comes up, they operate normally every day. I visited on a weekday around 11am, a bit of an early lunch, so it wasn't too crowded — nice! By around noon it got really busy.
Where Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch is and where to park
✔️If driving (free parking available), there's a spacious lot that fits 30+ cars, so you can visit without any parking worries. (Search the restaurant name on navigation or Smart Place)

✔️If taking the bus, get off at Yongdu 2-ri bus stop and walk about 300m toward Seooreung.
Inside Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch: the room and the menu

The interior was so clean and spacious! The restroom is inside the store too, which is convenient.
There are also separate group reservation seats (5 or more people). Of course, it's totally fine for solo dining too~
An open kitchen — something I really love!! And that phrase showing their pride in jjamppong 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 (Apparently at Jjamppong Jijeon, everyone from the newest headquarters staff to the branch owners goes through the same systematic training process for how the business runs)

How are the side dishes kept clean?
Hygiene has been the biggest issue at restaurants lately! Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch never reuses side dishes, always prepping and cooking fresh the same day. If any ingredient has an issue or isn't fresh enough, they say they throw it out without hesitation. Every day, they spend over an hour after closing cleaning, with every zone of the kitchen and hall assigned to a specific staff member ✨

The dessert and drink self-bar, ice cream included
Oh, and there's even a separate dessert corner here. A restaurant that just gives you ice cream for dessert.. is this real..?
From iced tea to all sorts of coffee and drinks, you can help yourself properly 👍🏻

How the food tastes at Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch

📋 What I ordered 📋
- 1️⃣ Rice noodle jjamppong (13.0)
- 2️⃣ Jjajangmyeon (9.5)
- 3️⃣ Sticky rice tangsuyuk (19.0)
Rice noodle jjamppong: deep broth, a different kind of bowl 🌶️

One spoonful in and I thought, 'ah, I don't even need to try another jjamppong, this one's a sure win'!
They use 100% domestic chili powder, and true to the name "Jjamppong Jijeon" (jjamppong supreme), everything from the base broth to every single ingredient felt genuinely fresh and properly cooked.

The ingredients are so generously packed in that it looks filling just to look at. I chose rice noodles instead of the regular wheat noodles, and at first I worried, 'won't the noodles feel separate from the broth?' But nope — they blended really well with the broth while feeling much lighter, which made for a refreshing change!
- ✅ Add sprouts to your liking from the self-bar and the spiciness of the jjamppong plus the crunch of the rice noodles both come alive — the appeal doubles. Definitely add sprouts and try it :)
- ✅ For those who eat a lot, there's extra rice available too, and depending on the situation they'll refill broth or sauce, so it's the best setup for eating your fill.
Jjajangmyeon: old-school black bean noodles that taste like childhood 🤎

Old-school jjajang loaded with potato chunks, hard to find at Chinese restaurants these days!
These days it's hard to find old-style jjajang, but this place's jjajang has big chunks of potato, that nostalgic old-fashioned taste! It's clean and mild enough that anyone would like it without exception, and I really enjoyed it. This is a jjamppong specialty restaurant, but the jjajangmyeon holds its own too.
Sticky rice tangsuyuk: clean, light sweet-and-sour pork 🥟

Tangsuyuk that's not hard or heavy, with just the right balance with the sauce
The sticky rice tangsuyuk's basic sauce isn't overdone and strikes just the right balance. The batter isn't too hard or heavy — it's clean, so it's good eaten plain, and also nice dipped lightly in sauce or soy sauce. It's the kind of tangsuyuk anyone would like, with generous meat that makes it even better.
Bonus: jjamppong mandu, smoky and spicy dumplings 🥟🔥

A subtle smoky char and spiciness on a completely different level from regular mandu
Definitely different from regular fried or steamed mandu! With one bite, you get a subtle smoky flavor along with a spicy kick spreading through — a specialty menu item that really shows Jjamppong Jijeon's own signature. I highly recommend ordering it as a side dish!
Dani's verdict on Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch
✔️Overall verdict: nothing was disappointing across the whole menu, but the jjamppong dishes are clearly where this place stands out.
✔️Why I'd recommend it: this is a restaurant well worth visiting when you're craving a bowl of jjamppong made with quality ingredients, rich and generous. If you're stuck deciding where to eat, don't hesitate to visit!
