Suwon bagel café with walnut-note decaf: Laugenbutter at Orange Bagel
In short
Orange Bagel is a bakery café in Gwonseon-gu, Suwon, between Gosaek Station and Omokcheon Station, with its own parking lot, a 2nd floor and a 3rd-floor rooftop. The writer tried the Deep Choco bagel (6,300 won), the Mocha Bun bagel (4,900 won) and the Laugenbutter bagel (6,900 won) with iced americanos made from nutty regular beans and decaf beans, and named the Laugenbutter bagel the top pick. Both the bagels and the coffee satisfied, so Orange Bagel gets a full-marks vote for a return visit.

I absolutely love eating delicious bagels as a meal or a snack. I finally got to visit Orange Bagel, a Suwon bagel spot I'd wanted to try for ages, so here's my honest review. The bagels and the coffee were both genuinely satisfying, so I have SO much to say~~
Orange Bagel hours and parking
Orange Bagel is open from 7:30 am to 9 pm, with last order at 8:30 pm. You can use its own parking lot.
- Hours: 7:30 am – 9:00 pm
- Last order: 8:30 pm
- Parking: own parking lot

Orange Bagel sits roughly between Gosaek Station and Omokcheon Station, and the parking lot is really big, which made things super easy. It opens early too, so it's perfect for breakfast or brunch~
What is the interior like at Orange Bagel in Suwon?
The shop has a mid-century modern interior with a spoonful of wood-toned warmth, a really nice vibe. The decor is so pretty that even casual photos come out great, haha.

What we ordered at Orange Bagel
Orange Bagel has such a wide variety of bagels that just browsing is fun. They all look delicious, so people who struggle to decide might have a hard time 🤭

They sell bottled drinks and sandwiches too. After much agonizing, we settled on three bagels and 2 iced americanos (nutty-roast beans & decaf beans)~
- Deep Choco bagel ₩6,300
- Mocha Bun bagel ₩4,900
- Laugenbutter bagel ₩6,900
- 2 iced americanos (nutty-roast beans & decaf beans)
Orange Bagel Good Morning set, discounts and review event
Orange Bagel also has a Good Morning set sold only until 10 am, so if you come early, that's probably the sensible pick, haha. Police officers, firefighters and military personnel get 10% off, so take note if that's you. Oh, and there was also an event giving a random drink or bagel chips for writing a review.
How does the Deep Choco bagel taste? Half coated, half filled
Orange Bagel's Deep Choco bagel (₩6,300) has a sweet chocolate coating on one half, and the uncoated half has chocolate filling inside. It was the one I was most excited about, so I dug in first, haha.
I really love chocolate baguettes, so a chocolate bagel? No way I wasn't grabbing it~ I'm a chocolate lover anyway, and comparing it with the trendy chocolate baguette sounded fun, so I picked it.
Verdict first: wow, hohoho~ the chewy bagel texture and sweet chocolate combine at their very best 💕 A crisp baguette is great, but when you're craving chewiness, a chocolate bagel is better. You get two versions of chocolate in one go, so I'd hugely recommend it to chocolate maniacs 😘
What does the Mocha Bun bagel taste like?
Orange Bagel's Mocha Bun bagel (₩4,900) is crisp outside and chewy inside, so it felt like it kept the strengths of both a mocha bun and a bagel 🥰 I'd never seen it before and was so curious how the two would work together, so I grabbed it.
The Mocha Bun bagel is also closer to a dessert than a plain bagel, so it was perfect with coffee. Sweetness and chewiness blend nicely, which makes it a great snack 💕

Top pick: the Laugenbutter bagel
Last, my top pick: Orange Bagel's Laugenbutter bagel (₩6,900)!! My companion also named it number one. There's sweet butter inside the chewy bagel, and from the first bite it's hallelujah time 😇

The extra-chewy laugen bread blended with the savory-sweet, max-butter filling, and both the aroma and the taste were absolute top 👍👍
I guarantee the Laugenbutter bagel alone is reason enough to visit Orange Bagel. If I were the owner here, I'd set up a pop-up and hand passersby tiny bites of it. Most of them would end up buying one, lol.

Is Orange Bagel's coffee good? Nutty beans vs walnut-note decaf
We ordered the iced americano with both the nutty-roast beans and the decaf beans at Orange Bagel, and both were delicious 💕 Honestly, I didn't expect much from the coffee at a bagel shop, so I was totally surprised.
The decaf had a subtle walnut aroma underneath, which was more my taste, but the nutty-roast one was good too, so pick whichever suits you, haha.

Can you warm up bagels at Orange Bagel?
Orange Bagel has an oven where you can warm up your bagel yourself. Just note that some bagels can't go in the oven depending on the type!!

Orange Bagel's 2nd floor and 3rd-floor rooftop
The 2nd floor of Orange Bagel is decorated in a prettier and more varied way, so if you're fine with stairs, I recommend going up a floor to eat.
The 3rd floor is a rooftop space. It was hot that day so nobody was there, but in cooler weather it would be nice to enjoy the outdoor view with a bagel here.
Would I go back to Orange Bagel?
Orange Bagel has easy, roomy parking, a gorgeous interior, and above all great bagels and coffee, so it gets a full 100 out of 100 for revisit intent!! I'd noticed the high star rating on Kakao Map and now I get why. The Laugenbutter bagel in particular was totally my taste, so I really recommend trying it.
