Today I'm bringing you a review of Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch, a great café to visit with a kid in Gumi. I went on a weekend outing with my mom, and it's such a good fit for a family visit that I really want to recommend it — it's a huge bakery café.
Where is Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch? Hours and parking in Gumi
- Location: 경북 구미시 선산대로 11 2동. Near the overpass and the entrance to Jisan-dong, on the way from Geumosan Mountain and Gumi Station toward Gumi Health Center and Munseong. Jisan Saetgang stream is nearby.

It's a two-story café and it was really spacious and pleasant.
The parking lot was on the left, and it was huge and really convenient. And on the way in, the interior was so beautifully designed — bold red and blue primary colors that caught not just kids' eyes but adults' too.

The moment you step into Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch, the orange-toned interior grabs your attention, and the tower stacked from takeout boxes was so pretty.
Can you see how big and pretty the place is? The moment I walked in I went, wow~. Apparently this café opened in 2023, and it shows in the best way...!
In the middle, the bread was on display.
The doughnuts looked delicious sitting in the fridge, and there were so many kinds.
Honestly, the covers over the display were legendary. At other cafés I've sometimes seen flies buzzing around. But here at Otters, everything was covered hygienically, so I could eat with full confidence.
I picked the shred cheese salt bread, the pistachio doughnut, and the plain salt bread.
What we ordered from the menu: steamed milk and seasonal watermelon bar juice
Let's take a quick look at the menu~ One unusual item was steamed milk on sale. You know how it is — doughnuts with warm milk is heavenly...! I wanted something in the ade category, but I was too curious about the seasonal menu, so I ordered the watermelon bar juice.
Let's take a quick look at the doughnut lineup too. There was exactly one pistachio doughnut left, so I grabbed it fast. I love matcha, so I'll try that one next time.
Second-floor floor seating and baby chair for visiting with a child
There's a mirror on each floor, so there's a photo zone too — photo zones matter, right? Haha. There was a staircase leading up to the second floor.
And there was a baby chair on the second-floor wall too.
Wait, what is this floor seating area?! It reminded me of a board game café or a picnic...! It was the perfect spot to sit down together with kids and eat doughnuts and bread.
Can you see the group tables in the back? They were reserved. Right after we came in, that reserved section filled up completely with guests.
The view from the second floor was great too, so we sat up there — there were both cushioned chairs and hard chairs, so you can pick whichever you like.
How the shredded cheese salt bread, pistachio doughnut and watermelon bar juice tasted
Are doughnuts and bread even allowed to look this pretty..? My mom had an iced Americano with a doughnut and said it was nicely, not overly, sweet. Honestly, coming to Otters bakery café for bread instead of lunch and just relaxing would be lovely too. And they gave us a free plain cream doughnut...! Owner, do you have any leftovers for me? Haha.
The shred cheese salt bread...! Even though we'd already had lunch, I couldn't help polishing it off on the spot — a perfect trio of sweet, salty, and cheesy. Not many places sell this kind of bread, so I was so glad Otters had it. The pistachio doughnut tasted just like I imagined, sweet with a clear pistachio flavor — amazing.
The watermelon bar juice really had that green bottom layer just like an actual watermelon popsicle, with a bit of a jelly-like, sweetish taste, and the watermelon flesh felt just-ground, like real watermelon. You could even bite into little chocolate bits (the watermelon seeds) here and there — this was the textbook watermelon bar juice!
Otters is a café famous for its drinks as well as its bakery and doughnuts. If you're looking for a Gumi café for a weekend outing with your kid, how about Otters?
