Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters (정지영커피로스터즈), one of the best-known local coffee brands in Suwon's Haenggung-dong, has set up shop in Starfield Suwon. The Starfield Suwon branch takes Haenggung-dong's retro, vintage mood and turns it into a polished, modern specialty coffee bar, a place to catch your breath mid-shopping and enjoy high-quality coffee and drinks. Where is Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters Starfield Suwon, and what are the hours?

Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters Starfield Suwon Branch is on the 2nd floor of Starfield Suwon, right at the start of Gourmet Street, where the restaurants cluster. It is open daily 10:00–22:00, with last order at 21:30.

It stands out, so you won't have trouble finding it!!

How much seating is there, and is it good for going solo?

The shop isn't big, but there are still plenty of seats!!! There are lots of single seats too, so it's great for having coffee alone at a relaxed pace! Plenty of seats for 2–3 people as well~~~

Behind the order counter, water, napkins, straws and other things you might need are set out for you to grab. Just look around here and take what you need~~

Can you buy Suwon souvenirs and coffee beans at the Starfield Suwon branch?

At the Starfield Suwon branch you can buy drip bags and whole beans, and I got to look at the mascot Suwoni doll too, haha. The Haenggung main branch has lots of Suwon-themed goods, which are great as souvenirs and fun to browse. The Starfield branch isn't quite as stocked as the main one, but it has Suwon hoodies and caps, which was fun, haha. A true Suwon local brand, Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters!! Every time I come, my Suwon pride goes through the roof, haha.

Coffee menu and smelling the hand drip beans before you order

The coffee menu at the Starfield Suwon branch seems to be the same as at the Haenggung-dong main branch!! Here too you can have hand drip coffee brewed from their own roasted beans~~ Since Jeong Jiyeong's strength is coffee brewed from beans they roast themselves, I recommend trying the drip coffee!!

If you ask the staff, you can also smell the drip coffee beans separately!! I like that you can sniff around and pick the coffee that smells good and that you want to try~~

How does the Colombia double anaerobic Lychee Peach drip coffee taste?

For coffee I ordered the Colombia El Paraíso double anaerobic Lychee Peach drip coffee, and for non-coffee, the London Fog milk tea. The double anaerobic Lychee Peach drip is a coffee that shocked me when I tried it at the Haenggung-dong main branch last time.

It's said to be coffee that goes through two fermentations in sealed, oxygen-free tanks, and the deep aroma you notice the moment you lift the cup is superb. Flavors of ripe peach, bright lychee and plum bloom across your mouth, with a distinctive, vivid fruity scent and taste you rarely get from ordinary coffee. It's the kind of coffee whose taste and aroma keep coming back to you after one sip, so this time I ordered the same one, hahaha

Is the London Fog milk tea strong?

Jeong Jiyeong's London Fog milk tea isn't overly sweet, and the black tea comes through rich and weighty, so it's fragrant and strong!! I love milk tea so I ordered it, and sometimes at odd places it tastes watered down and bland, but this one was a properly steeped, rich milk tea, and delicious in a different way from the coffee!!

Is Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters Starfield Suwon worth a visit?

The biggest appeal of the Starfield Suwon branch is that you can experience the high-quality beans and the essence of specialty coffee from the Haenggung-dong main branch just as they are, in an easily accessible mall. When you need a sweet, fragrant break in the middle of shopping, or want drip coffee from a proper local roastery, do stop by~~~
