Mamison Hangari BBQ is located in a hanok (traditional Korean house) building like this! There's a big parking lot right in front too, so parking is easy~ There seemed to be quite a few accommodations nearby too? So it looked like a good spot to walk to from your lodging after some sightseeing haha.

What comes with the 25,000-won jar combo set?

Mamison BBQ has several options, from the tomahawk set to the combo jar set, the pork belly jar set, and the ribs jar set~ You choose between tomahawk or pork belly and ribs haha. We wanted to try a variety, so we ordered the combo jar set with half pork belly and half ribs!

After ordering, you can see the jar like this~ The pork belly and ribs inside this jar-shaped vessel already look delicious!

There was a pretty wide variety of side dishes too, and they were genuinely tasty like proper rice side dishes, which I loved >< As I was eating the sides I thought 'I absolutely need to order rice right now!!!' so I ordered a bowl of rice right away haha. Every single side dish was delicious ㅠㅠ

And since I ordered the set, stew came along with it too~ It was packed with vegetables and meat, so it was hot and really tasty!

The jar barbecue set comes out on a long plate like this, loaded with everything from meat to vegetables!

Since we ordered the combo set, we got pork belly and ribs, plus salad, mushrooms and onion, and even pineapple served together to grill! There were even shrimp and sausage, so it was a really hearty spread~

After the meat comes out, they cut it into pieces for you! We took our photo time first and then they cut it right away haha.

Spicy sauce and BBQ sauce, simmered at the table for dipping

There were two sauces served too, one spicy sauce and one BBQ sauce haha. Simmering them like this makes them even tastier! The owner told us directly that simmering the sauce makes it taste better, so we let it bubble away and dipped the meat in it!

Started with the grilled pollack first! One whole pollack comes out per set, and it was really, really good haha. The outside was completely crispy and the inside was so moist that it was just amazing ㅠㅠㅠ

Pork belly and ribs served already cooked and ready to eat

We ordered both pork belly and ribs, so we got to enjoy two flavors, which was great! They also cut it into easy-to-eat pieces for us, so all we had to do was put it on the grill plate and eat it while warm haha. Ready to eat right away! The meat comes out fully cooked haha.

The meat is delicious even on its own, but wrapping it in a lettuce wrap made it even better! The kimchi especially was really tasty, so wrapping it together with kimchi was the best ><

They grilled it up together with tasty vegetables and even sausage!!

Is Mamison Hangari BBQ worth a visit in Gwangyang?

The ribs had that great gnaw-on-the-bone feel too~ And the pork belly was moist with plenty of juice inside, which made it even better haha. Last, we even grilled the pineapple! Mamison Hangari BBQ was great for enjoying a delicious grilled meal! I especially loved that you can eat the meat right away when it comes out, and the portions were really generous ~ Mamison BBQ would be great to visit as a family too! I recommend this Gwangyang meat restaurant ><
