Half-pig samgyeopsal platter near Soraepogu Station, Incheon: Hanmaeum
In short
Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Incheon Nonhyeon Branch is a samgyeopsal (grilled pork belly) restaurant on Pogu-ro in Namdong, Incheon, a 9-minute walk from Soraepogu Station on the Suin-Bundang Line. The half-pig order brings the most popular cuts of 144-hour aged pork on one plate, the complimentary doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) can be refilled, and the 3,000-won nurungjitang (scorched rice soup) arrives far bigger than expected. Let me introduce a Korean BBQ spot near Sihung Premium Outlets, in Incheon Nonhyeon-!

It's called 'Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang' and since it just opened not long ago, the facilities were really clean.

You can park right in front of the restaurant, so it's great to visit by car too! Since you can park right out front, quite a few people were visiting with kids as well~!
Inside Hanmaeum: seating for groups
The interior of Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Incheon Nonhyeon Branch has lots of tables, each with partitions, so it feels private. There's also separate group seating, making the layout suited for family gatherings or work dinners.

Walking further in, I saw a really spacious interior — lots of tables, and partitions set up between them for a private atmosphere-!

With lots of tables and group seating arranged too, it felt like a great spot for family gatherings or group dinners — apparently weekday evenings and afternoons are quieter than weekends, so that might be an even better time for a get-together or dinner~

Kids' playroom and CCTV at every table
And this place has a special playroom just for kids!
When you visit a BBQ restaurant with kids, you always worry they'll get bored during the meal, but here they can comfortably use the playroom in between, which makes it great for family visits.

If you're thinking about a family meal out, this feature is really nice~!
You can even check the playroom CCTV right from the table, so you can see whether the kids are playing well-
What's on the menu at Hanmaeum?
The menu at Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Incheon Nonhyeon Branch has both pork and beef, so there's a wide range to choose from. Besides meat, sides like naengmyeon (cold noodles), jjigae (stew), and steamed egg are also available.
Let's take a look at the menu!

Here you can try both pork and beef, so there's a wide selection.

Besides meat, there's a variety of side dishes too, like naengmyeon, jjigae, and steamed egg.
The half-pig platter: how does the 144-hour aged pork taste?
We ordered the half-pig platter, which arrives as a single plate loaded with popular pork cuts. Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang holds Korea's first certification in German aging technology, and the meat goes through two rounds of aging at 2°C for 144 hours.

So we started grilling, and the grill plate had such a unique shape that the presentation was seriously impressive~!

Thanks to the long aging process, the flavor was deep and you could really taste the meat's natural quality. It definitely had a chewier, nuttier texture than regular meat — you could tell it was aged.
Free doenjang jjigae, refilled on request
Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Incheon Nonhyeon Branch gives you doenjang jjigae free of charge, and it's refillable too. Side dishes and accompaniments are set out once and you can keep grabbing more from the self-serve bar.

You can keep taking side dishes and accompaniments from the self-serve bar after the initial setup. And here they give you doenjang jjigae for free — unlike other BBQ places, this one was really spicy and rich, so it went down easily.

They even refill this doenjang jjigae! Since we were clearly enjoying it so much, the owner kindly helped us with a refill.

They told us to feel free to ask for a refill anytime, which was really touching... the owner and all the staff here are so kind.
How big is the 3,000-won nurungjitang?
The nurungjitang is ₩3,000, and it came out much bigger than expected. It pairs perfectly with the doenjang jjigae, so I'd definitely recommend ordering it.

After thoroughly enjoying the juicy, nutty meat, we ordered the nurungjitang-

Since it was only ₩3,000, I figured it would just be a small bowl~ but it came out way bigger than I expected! I really didn't expect much but it was so nutty and warm and delicious. It pairs perfectly with the doenjang jjigae, so make sure to try it.

Who is Hanmaeum best for: family meals or team dinners?
The owner and staff were so kind throughout the meal, which made the whole experience really pleasant~! These days so many places are no-kids-zones, but this one even has a playroom for kids, making it great for family gatherings too, and the space itself is really spacious and pleasant, so it's a perfect answer if you're trying to figure out where to have a weekday dinner or a get-together! If you're looking for a great spot in Incheon Nonhyeon, I recommend Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang-!
