Jonggak anniversary Italian dinner with sirloin cap steak: Schedule

In short

Schedule Osteria is an Italian restaurant on the 2nd floor of the iM Financial Center in Jung-gu, Seoul, right in front of Cheonggyecheon by Jonggak Station Exit 1. Visiting for a couple's 1000-day anniversary, the writer ordered the truffle cheese wheel tagliatelle and the prime sirloin cap steak, and the tableside performance of tossing the pasta in a flamed whole cheese wheel, along with the floor-to-ceiling Cheonggyecheon view, set the anniversary mood completely. For a meal in Jongno that has to impress, Schedule Osteria is the answer.

Where Schedule Osteria is: Jonggak Station Exit 1, facing Cheonggyecheon

Schedule Osteria sits near Jonggak Station Exit 1, right in front of Cheonggyecheon. The area is surrounded entirely by high-rise buildings, but maybe because it hugs the stream, it felt more relaxed and open than I expected.

It's already been 1000 days since we met~ Since this is the first 1000-day mark that we won't forget even after our wedding anniversary, we decided to celebrate it properly haha

I felt a little regretful that I had to find the anniversary restaurant myself,,, but that feeling disappeared the second we walked in ^_^... The interior overall has an open, spacious layout, but strangely enough it also feels private at the same time.

The floor-to-ceiling windows bring in the Cheonggyecheon and high-rise view directly, and the high ceilings meant there was zero sense of being cramped. This is a place that absolutely nails the atmosphere for an anniversary dinner.

What we ordered for our 1000-day anniversary at Schedule Osteria

Schedule Osteria has a wide range of menu items great for setting a mood — pasta, gnocchi, steak, and more. Every other table was a couple too, and everyone had flowers (what are you all up to,,). Anyway,, we ordered the truffle cheese wheel tagliatelle and the prime sirloin cap steak.

The table setting and bread before the meal

Our 1000 days started off with warm, freshly baked bread~~

Truffle cheese wheel tagliatelle, the dish every table ordered

Large cheese wheel brought out to the table

The truffle cheese wheel tagliatelle really lives up to being Schedule Osteria's signature dish — the table next to us, and the one after that, all had it too.

When you order it, a cheese wheel the size of a person's torso is brought out whole to your table. The staff member scrapes the inside of the wheel and lights it to slightly melt it, then adds the freshly boiled tagliatelle noodles and mixes it thoroughly with the cheese right there — quite the performance.

On top of that, they grate fresh truffle over it right on the spot, so it's a dish that's fun to watch and fun to eat at the same time.

And then this pretty cream pasta gets set down on the table.

Anniversary table with both pasta and steak

With the steak served alongside it, it really felt like a proper anniversary meal~! We joked that if we were in Norway, this would be a ₩300,000 meal ^_^...

The taste is exactly what you'd expect from a rich cream pasta — the real deal. It's quite thick and creamy, so even one forkful sends a wave of luxurious cheese flavor through your mouth.

Add the truffle aroma on top of that, and the richness doubles. It looks like it would be heavy, but it goes down surprisingly light, so you keep reaching for more. How is it that it tastes even better once it's gone cold?

Prime sirloin cap steak, the must-order for an anniversary

Schedule Osteria's prime sirloin cap steak comes with sous vide-cooked prime sirloin cap, chimichurri sauce, mashed potato, and grilled vegetables.

Well-seared on the outside, still alive on the inside — the textbook definition of a steak that looks absolutely delicious.

Interior of the sirloin cap steak showing even doneness

My partner especially hates the chewy tendon parts when eating steak, but the sirloin cap steak was genuinely melt-in-your-mouth tender. Maybe because it's sous vide cooked, the doneness was perfectly even throughout, and the juices were well preserved.

Eating the steak together with the thick cream pasta — now that's basically steak pasta hahaha

The mashed potato that came alongside was also soft and nutty, pairing well with the steak. We ordered it thinking, 'since it's our anniversary, let's at least pretend to cut a steak' — but the taste backed it up perfectly, making it the ideal anniversary dish haha

Why Schedule Osteria works for an anniversary dinner in Jonggak

  • Floor-to-ceiling Cheonggyecheon view + high-rise openness, while still feeling private
  • A menu that's a treat for the eyes too, thanks to the cheese wheel performance
  • Perfectly suited for occasions in Jongno where you need to impress, like anniversaries or blind dates

I was so satisfied with Schedule Osteria! Next time I'll be going back for our wedding anniversary hahaha
