The restaurant sits on the main Gwanak-daero road near the Anyang Stadium intersection, so it wasn't hard to find! There's a wedding hall called Villa de GD nearby, and a café in the same building, so it's perfect for going to get dessert after your meal~

We went by car, and the basement parking lot of Kids Mom Center was big with plenty of spaces, which was so convenient. And 2 hours of free parking? Wow 👏🏻

Hwaddeugeuro Gan Godeungeo is a chain with several branches, and it's been featured on TV too. Gain unnie~~~ it's a famous good eat~~~

Is the seating spacious? Can you book it for groups?

The tables at this branch are nicely spaced, and there are seats for anything from 2 people up to bigger parties. It looked great for a family meal or a get-together with friends haha

I heard the whole inner window room can be booked for groups of 22 or more, so take note if you're planning a group meal!

Order the oven mackerel set and a generous spread arrives: kimchi, salad, corn salad, seasoned greens, seasoned side dishes and japchae (glass noodle stir-fry). The chonggak kimchi (whole small radish kimchi), crunchy cucumber peppers and deodeok (bellflower root) salad were seriously insane.

Even the warm soup was rich and savory!

There's a self-serve bar too, so you can help yourself to whatever sides you like~ The bibimbap corner has bibimbap bowls and namul (seasoned greens) set out separately, so you can quickly whip up your own bibimbap.

The mackerel finally makes its entrance 🐟 The mackerel at Hwaddeugeuro Gan Godeungeo came out big and golden brown. Maybe because it's baked in the oven, the outside was appetizingly crisp and the flesh was moist•••

The flesh is plump too!!! When I picked it apart, the inside was white and moist-looking, right?

Eaten with warm rice, a bowl vanishes in no time. My boyfriend even had a refill of rice, haha

We really enjoyed it, didn't we? haha After picking all the mackerel meat clean, only bones were left! We kept eating the sides along with it and before we knew it, we'd cleared the whole table haha
