I'd been so busy for a while that I couldn't even trim my hair, and it ended up looking super frizzy and heavy overall ㅠㅠ I figured I couldn't leave it like that anymore, so while looking for an easy-to-style yet clean look, I booked an appointment with Director Hayeon at Abidasun Salon Jamwon, a Jamwon-dong hair salon known for great cuts, and went!

Abidasun Salon Jamwon is right in front of Exit 1 of Jamwon Station, so the accessibility was really great! It's located on the 3rd floor, Room 304, of the Maple Zai commercial building East Wing, so I could find it right as I stepped out of the station~!

As soon as I opened the door, maybe because the shop hadn't been open long, the interior was super clean and comfortable~!

Personally, when choosing a hair salon I tend to care a lot about a clean environment, and Abidasun Salon's first impression was really great!!

Consultation with Director Hayeon: what does she ask?

As soon as I sat down, Director Hayeon greeted me so kindly~! It wasn't just a quick glance at a reference photo and done — she carefully asked about my face shape, head shape, hair texture, and even my usual drying habits, and found the style that suited me perfectly!!

After a thorough consultation, we decided to boldly cut about 15cm off my stuffy waist-length hair, reduce the weight with a layered cut that wouldn't look too thin, and add a natural C/S curl!!

It had been a while since my last salon visit so I was nervous haha. They even prepared cool orange juice for me!! Such a nice touch!!

The treatment I received that day was the [Hayeon Signature] head-shape-fitted cut & easy-care build perm package! She started with the cut, and every single snip and section division showed a different level of detail.

Since my hair hadn't been trimmed in a long time, the ends were really frizzy and heavy, but Director Hayeon carefully adjusted the overall length and layers!

It wasn't just about shortening the length — it felt like she cut it considering my face shape, head shape, and how the hair naturally flows. After the cut, my hair, which had been sagging heavily, became much fresher and the silhouette got a lot cleaner!!

When I get a layered cut, I don't love it when the layers are too extreme or the ends look messy, but this time it got lighter naturally while keeping good overall balance, so I really liked it~! I was reminded once again how important a good cut really is for hair...

How the signature build perm at Abidasun works, step by step

After the cut, we moved on to Director Hayeon's signature build perm!

First, a semi root perm was done to bring volume to the top~

Then a design C/S curl that flows smoothly was added!!

Even during the heat perm process, she kept checking to make sure nothing felt too hot or uncomfortable, so the whole thing felt really comfortable! haha

To finish, she shampooed my hair and lightly towel-dried it, and the moment I looked in the mirror I was quietly amazed!!! Since I don't usually spend a lot of time styling my hair, it was important to have a look that's clean but not hard to manage, and she matched exactly the shape I wanted!!

My long hair, which had been frizzy from being neglected for so long, was unbelievably neat and tidy, and the natural C/S curl was full and voluminous along the layered lines — I loved it so much!!

In the before photo, my hair is drooping down with no life, but in the after, you can see the hair is bouncy and full of volume, right!?

Styling the perm the next day: a half-up look

Since I do half-up styles often, I tried one the day after getting my hair done — and even after just lightly towel-drying, the curls held really well, and it looked so pretty tied up too, which made me even more satisfied!!
