Fine-hair collarbone layered cut: Jamwon-dong hair salon Abidasun

It's been ages since I got a cut, and my hair had grown out so much in the meantime?? To switch things up for fall, I went to Abidasun Salon Jamwon for a layered cut!

Abidasun Salon Jamwon is a 10-second walk from Exit 1 of Jamwon Station (Line 3) to the Maple Jai commercial building!!! Super close to the station, best accessibility~ If you're driving, there's convenient underground parking in the building too.

It's located on the 4th floor of the east wing, and even the exterior gives off a clean, modern vibe, right?

What is the salon like inside?

The inside of Abidasun Salon Jamwon is all white-toned, and there's a big floor-to-ceiling window in the back that lets in tons of light, so it felt open, bright, and tidy~

The seats have a modern interior too, and even as a first-time visitor I liked the comfortable atmosphere~

The 15-minute shampoo and scalp massage before the cut

Before the cut, I first moved to the shampoo room to get my hair washed? Wow!! I got a really thorough shampoo and scalp massage for almost 15 minutes~~ Thanks to the shampoo and massage, I felt properly healed even before the cut started haha

How the collarbone layered cut was done

Before cutting, my hair reached down to chest length. After thoroughly consulting with stylist Jaei about the overall length and the style I wanted, the cut began in earnest.

Hahahaha, she braided my hair into cute little pigtails, so adorable???

First, she checked the overall length, gave it a light blow-dry, and then moved into more detailed layered cutting work~

Just from this, my hair already felt lighter, so I really should get regular cuts haha~ Even with just a bit trimmed, my hair felt so much lighter!

While she was cutting, Jaei and I chatted a bit and it was fun, so time flew by and the cutting time felt really short.

After the first blow-dry, she thinned out the overall volume and refined the texture in detail, and it was so interesting to see the volume come alive naturally just from the layered cut~~ Really fascinating~~

Does a layered cut work for fine, limp hair?

My hair is on the thin and limp side, so if you layer it too aggressively it can end up looking even thinner, but she carefully cut a little bit at a time, checking the shape and volume as she went, and it was fun watching the gradual change~~ This is a Jamwon-dong hair salon in the Zai apartment commercial building, so if you want a cut or perm, go find stylist Jaei~~!!

Now let's see the finished cut? What do you think? The before and after difference is clear, right!?? I'm on the shorter side, and having long hair on top made things feel kind of heavy, but the biggest downside was that the length made it stick flat with no volume!

But with just the layered cut, no perm, natural volume came back, so styling every morning got so much easier!

I love the side line too~~ At the collarbone length I wanted, with the shortest layer sitting just above the shoulders, the medium layered cut is complete~!!! Clean, right???
