Why go to Jangmi Sangga near Jamsil Naru Station after a health checkup?
Today my mom and I went in for a health checkup. My stomach's been acting up lately, so I got an endoscopy... turns out I have some reflux esophagitis and mild gastritis. Two weeks of meds now.. ㅠ
They told me to avoid fast food after the endoscopy, but... I wasn't exactly on an empty stomach, I'd had some misugaru (roasted grain powder drink), so it should be fine right^^) Sorry, stomach. I was craving a burger so badly that I searched around and found Daily Fix Jangmi Sangga, apparently a famous burger spot near Jamsil Station.
Turns out Jangmi Sangga is right in front of Jangmi Apartment. Jangmi Apartment actually has a ton of roses (jangmi means rose) planted in its flower beds, so I got to look at them on the way — fun haha, such an honest name. You just head down to the basement level of Jangmi Sangga! There are all kinds of restaurants down there, all looking like old-school local favorites. Grabbed a melon cream sando on the way too 🎶
1pm on a weekday: only Daily Fix was full
It was past 1pm on a weekday and the place was completely full! Guess it's already famous among office workers nearby. Every other restaurant had maybe one or two tables occupied, but this place — full house!
Since the tables were all taken, we sat at the bar table. Honestly I love bar tables anyway lol, my feet dangling is fun) total kid at heart.

Ugh, everything looked so good. The first thing that caught my eye was the
the bacon cheeseburger raved about by [Kang Min-kyung]... but I've been obsessed with mushrooms lately so the truffle mushroom burger pulled me in hard. Plus truffle always adds that fancy touch, right? I ended up ordering the truffle mushroom burger and my mom got the Hawaiian bacon BBQ burger. Our family loves pineapple!
Coke refills come free at Daily Fix
I was the only one who ordered a Coke (Mom's dieting, no drinks for her). Turns out refills are free? Not many places do refills anymore these days, and even when they do, you usually need one drink per person, right? But here they just... do it. Love that.
Splitting the Hawaiian bacon BBQ and truffle mushroom burgers in half
Our truffle mushroom burger and Hawaiian bacon BBQ burger arrived. Even the plating was different for each haha.
First up, the Hawaiian bacon BBQ burger! They cut it carefully for us.
Here's the cross-section. A juicy patty with lettuce, crisply cooked bacon, and pineapple — so many different ingredients, but they all came together in perfect harmony) meaning it was absolutely delicious. Nothing stood out too much, it was just... just really, really good ㅠㅠㅠ I should've ordered this one myself.. In the end we split it in half.
And here's the truffle mushroom burger. As you can see, it's absolutely piled with truffle. They slice it gently for us.
Maybe it's just me, but the patty felt thicker on this one. The mushroom burger had no vegetables inside — just cheese, patty, and the intensity of truffle for a deep, rich flavor! How should I put it... kind of heavy? Definitely delicious, but a little overwhelming if you keep eating.
What are 18fries, and are they worth the extra 1,000 won?
The fries came out. We'd ordered the 18fries, but there were also regular thin fries on the menu. I just scrolled down and figured this one was the standard fries, but nope. Since it's thick-cut and uses more potato, it costs about ₩1,000 more.
Thick-cut, crispy on the outside with that fluffy potato texture still coming through inside. Loaded with salt on the outside too, so even the fries alone were nicely salty and delicious.
But my kid-like taste buds demand a heavy dunk in ketchup hehe, so good.
We dunked the burgers in like wild animals. Felt kind of primitive. But eating it all in one bite like that is exactly how it tastes best. Had such a great meal — highly recommend this homemade burger spot, Daily Fix Jangmi Sangga~~
