Why a C-curl perm on flattened layered hair?

My layered cut was a few months old, the layers had collapsed and the ends were sticking out. With an important weekend event coming up, I looked for a C-curl perm in Jamsil and ended up at CHOP Hair Jamsil Branch. I usually tie my hair up, so I hadn't paid much attention to its condition.

Then one day I let my hair down, looked in the mirror and thought, "Huh? What's going on with my hair?" haha. The layers were all mushed together and the ends flew off in every direction, so it looked far messier than I expected, and I was shocked!! It's close to the station, so the walk was no trouble at all.

CHOP Hair Jamsil Branch is a spacious, bright salon with lots of staff and natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows. The moment I opened the door I was surprised by the size, and with so many staff members I thought, "This place must be well organized."

There were quite a lot of seats, and even though I booked near the first slot of the morning, customers were already filling them. If it's this busy so early, it must be really popular, right??

What I liked most was the view with sunlight pouring through the big windows! Thanks to the natural light, the salon felt bright and open, and I felt refreshed the whole time.

Can heavily layered hair get a C-curl perm?

The deputy director at CHOP Hair Jamsil Branch told me honestly that if I did a C-curl perm on heavily layered hair as it was, it might not come out at the pretty length I wanted. Instead, they thought it through with me to find a length where the C-curl would hold well.

Honestly I was a little worried, but rather than just saying it couldn't be done, they seemed to look for what would work on my hair, so I left it in their hands! 💕

The shampoo area at CHOP Hair Jamsil Branch was dimly lit, but that actually made it cozier. Lying back, my eyes felt at ease, like I was taking a little break.

On top of that, the scalp massage felt so good that I thought "I have to come back here" right from that moment! I wanted even more of it, honestly..

The cut for the C-curl

After the shampoo, the cut was done carefully, tidying the layers and trimming to a length where the C-curl would fall nicely.

Do they serve drinks and dessert during the service?

At CHOP Hair Jamsil Branch, a drink and dessert came out mid-service, and I chose hot tea and a waffle. I'd left without breakfast and was a bit hungry, so it filled me up and let me relax while getting my hair done.

Getting my C-curl perm in Jamsil! I loved that CHOP Hair Jamsil Branch kept checking the heat throughout and carefully made sure it didn't touch my skin.

How did the C-curl perm turn out?

In the after, the messy layers were neatly sorted and the ends curled naturally inward in a C shape, giving an overall neat, soft look. I never expected hair that "might not work because of the layers" to turn out this pretty!!

I feel confident about going to this weekend's event haha
