The writer visited The Waltz & Joypia Gangseo with their dog Baekgu, paid ₩10,000 per person in entry, ordered a peach iced tea and a café latte, and spent time in the spacious interior and photo zone. The Waltz & Joypia Gangseo (더왈츠 앤 조이피아 강서) is a new dog café on the Gangseo-gu/Yangcheon-gu side of Seoul. Besides the café, it also runs dog grooming, boarding and daycare. There are lots of cute resident dogs, and you can come without your own dog, so it looked great for kids or a couple's date. I went with Baekgu to tick another new dog café off my list :)

Since dogs get in free, it looked like a good option if you're bringing several dogs!
What's the interior of The Waltz & Joypia Gangseo like?

Maybe because it just opened, the whole place felt fresh and pleasant, and the interior was spacious and bright.

Can you go without a dog?
There are lots of adorable resident puppies and you can visit without your own dog, so it suits families with young kids or couples who love dogs as a date. On the day I visited, there were actually more couples and families who came to spend time with the resident dogs than people who brought their own dogs!

Private tables with partitions
One side has private table areas with partitions. They're more comfortable if your dog is a little shy around others or when you need to feed your dog meals or treats, and I thought that was a thoughtful touch.

Dog goods display
Dog clothes, treats and all kinds of dog supplies are on display, so it was fun to browse while enjoying the café :)

Drink prices and taste at The Waltz & Joypia Gangseo
Drinks are ordered separately from the entry fee, and one drink per person is required. Drinks start at ₩5,000.

✅ Here's what we ordered ⤵️
- Peach iced tea ₩5,000
- Café latte ₩5,500

It's a dog café, so I didn't expect much from the drinks, but the quality was good. I took photos of Baekgu with our drinks, and the interior is clean overall, so the photos came out nicely 😊
Playing with Baekgu at The Waltz & Joypia Gangseo

There's a resting area for dogs and plenty of toys, so Baekgu, my ball-loving Kim Baekgu, had a great zoomies session. The tables are set along the sides, so he could play without any obstacles haha.
Dog photo zone and event
There's also a cute photo zone for taking pictures with your dog, so I got lots of photos of Baekgu here too!

A photo zone event is running right now, so if you visit with your dog, it's worth joining :)
Verdict: who should visit The Waltz & Joypia Gangseo?
As a newly opened dog café, The Waltz & Joypia Gangseo has a bright, clean feel and a spacious interior where dogs can run around. It's for small dogs under 7kg only, which suits little pups, and there's no separate fee for dogs, so I'd recommend it for anyone with multiple dogs.
It also runs boarding, daycare and grooming, and you can enter without a dog, so it looked good for dog-loving couples or a family outing with kids. If you're looking for a dog café in Hwagok or Gangseo-gu where your dog can play comfortably in a pleasant, roomy space, I hope you'll visit The Waltz & Joypia Gangseo :)
