Why Bas Burger Seongsu after a walk in Seoulsup?

It was the weekend, so we took the kids to the Pokémon Secret Forest in Seoulsup for a light walk and picnic. After a nice outdoor activity, I always crave something hearty where the juiciness really comes through.

The weather was lovely and I wanted somewhere with an outdoor mood. Bas Burger Seongsu is a Seongsu handmade burger shop that's well reviewed by Ttukseom office workers and trendy-spot fans for takeout and dates. It's a 3-minute walk from Ttukseom Station, so it fits the route smoothly too.

Bas Burger Seongsu interior and outdoor terrace

The interior has a hip but calm pub vibe. Toned-down, stylish lighting and tasteful decor make it a good pick for a date or a get-together with friends.

The tables and the area around the sauce bottles were wiped down thoroughly and neatly. There's terrace seating outside too, and it looked like a comfortable spot for guests who bring their pets.

How does the unlimited potato chip self-serve bar work?

One side of Bas Burger Seongsu has a James Gam potato chip self-bar. Until your burger arrives, you can help yourself to as many crispy chips, fried in the shop, and as many sauces as you like.

It was really handy to have a crunchy snack so the wait wasn't boring, and the sauce area was kept clean with no spills.

Bas Lager: a craft beer to go with the burgers

Bas Lager is a crisp, cold craft beer, and it makes a great burger-and-beer combo with a salty burger. It's refreshing, light and easy to drink, perfect for a hot day. It comes in two sizes, 425ml and 550ml.

How was the Double Bacon Cheese Burger?

The bun on the Bas Burger Double Bacon Cheese Burger was so fluffy and soft that the texture was gentle from the very first bite. Rich juices from the two thick patties, salty bacon and nutty cheese filled my mouth, and it tasted great.

Rather than artificial punch, you get quality focused on the natural savoriness of the meat.

A location in the middle of Seongsu, quality handmade patties, and a self-bar where you can enjoy chips to your heart's content! It's a great burger spot that never feels heavy. The bun is so soft and fluffy, and the sauce soaks into the juicy double patties, so the burger is a pleasure to eat.

Unlimited chips: tucked into the burger, dipped in the milkshake

To enjoy Bas Burger a little more variously, make full use of the unlimited chips at the self-bar. Halfway through the fluffy burger, slip one or two big chips between the patties and bite down together, and you get the soft bun and crunchy chip texture at once.

I also recommend the sweet-and-salty combo of dunking chips in the sweet, cold plain milkshake instead of salty ketchup. It's a Seoulsup spot that kids and adults both enjoy.

Plain milkshake at Bas Burger Seongsu

The Bas Burger plain milkshake has a subtle sweetness and a smooth texture, so it was great for dipping everything from fries to chips. It was clean and cold even on its own, which I liked.

Chili Mozza Cheese Bar

The Chili Mozzarella Cheese Bar is a side in the same vein as the crunchy lineup that gets such a good response at Bas Burger in Seongsu near Seoulsup. The outside was visibly fried crisp, and when split in half, the stretching mozzarella looked so pretty.

The sweet and spicy chili sauce balanced the heaviness of the cheese, which made it a fun, different bite.
