Suwon Ingye-dong gamjatang restaurant: 38,000 won hot pot for three
In short
Eolkeunhan Ppyeo Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch is a pork bone soup and gamjatang (pork bone stew) restaurant in Ingye-dong, Suwon, an 8-minute walk from Suwon City Hall Station, and it stays open 24 hours a day except for one hour each week. Three of us ordered the medium bone hot pot at 38,000 won with a 3,000 won sujebi (hand-torn dough) add-on at the medium spice level, and the pot was so full that the fried rice had to wait for the next visit. For a group of three, the small size with fried rice and ramen noodles added would be the smarter order.

This is Ppabi, back with another Ingye-dong find. Today I'm introducing a haejangguk (hangover soup) restaurant where the broth gets richer the longer it simmers~

Where is Eolkeunhan Ppyeo Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch? Hours and parking
Eolkeunhan Ppyeo Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch 52 Gyeongsu-daero 466beon-gil, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, Drama City 104, 105ho - Hours Daily 00:00–24:00 *Tuesday only: open until 9am *Wednesday: opens at 10am
It's about an 8-minute walk from Exit 6 of Suwon City Hall Station on the Suin-Bundang Line. Customers get 2 hours of free parking in the underground lot behind the building, so it's a good option if you're driving too.

The dining room at 3:30pm: quiet tables, nonstop delivery orders
The inside of Eolkeunhan Ppyeo Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch was spacious and clean. We went at an awkward hour, around 3:30pm, so there weren't many dine-in customers, but delivery orders kept coming in nonstop. It really felt like a popular spot! You can dine in, order delivery, or get any menu item as takeout, whichever suits you.

The bones used in the soups and hot pots are boiled fresh daily and meant to be used up the same day, so the meat was tender, not chewy, and there was no off smell at all, which I really liked.

What's on the self-serve banchan (side dish) bar
They set out the basic side dishes first, and you can grab extras from the self-serve bar as you like. There's domestic kkakdugi (radish kimchi), house-made pickled onions, pepper, and mustard sauce.

The menu and the 4 spice levels at Eolkeunhan Ppyeo Haejangguk
The menu ranges from a single bowl of bone soup that's easy for solo dining, to bone hot pot that's great for sharing~ there was also blood sausage haejangguk, kids' water dumplings, and more.

One thing I loved about this Ingye-dong restaurant is that even the single-serving bone soup lets you choose your spice level. Usually only the gamjatang lets you adjust that. They have 4 levels — Mild, Medium, Spicy, Extra Spicy — so even spice wimps can visit comfortably. Oh, and of course spice masters too..! Haha

On the ordering tablet you can even see photos of the dishes, and there's also a menu board on the wall that's easy to scan at a glance.
Our order for three: medium bone hot pot 38,000 won plus 3,000 won sujebi
Today's order (visited as a party of 3) 1) Bone hot pot, Medium: ₩38,000 2) Sujebi noodle add-on: ₩3,000
There were three of us, so we ordered the medium bone hot pot at medium spice level.

The medium bone hot pot came out as a pot packed to the brim. Perilla leaves were piled high on top, and inside were bones, sujebi (hand-torn dough noodles), potatoes, ugeoji (dried napa cabbage leaves), bean sprouts, and a generous pork broth.

Each bone was hefty too, so there was plenty of meat to pick off, and it came off easily with chopsticks. Sometimes at other places you end up holding the bone up like a harmonica trying to get every last bit — but not here, so I got to keep my table manners intact.

We added the sujebi noodle topping, so there was plenty of chewy sujebi in there too, and I kept wondering why the broth tasted so deep yet refreshing at the same time — turns out there were tons of bean sprouts in it haha. As a bean sprout lover, very satisfied...

Medium or small for three? Why the fried rice never happened
The soft ugeoji and bone meat together just melted in your mouth. We ordered medium spice and it wasn't super hot, just pleasantly spicy in a way I really liked. But... why didn't we get to the fried rice? Well, we figured since there were three of us, we should order the medium size — but the portion turned out to be huge, ugh.
In the end all three of us were way too full, so sadly the fried rice got pushed to next time. If I go again as a party of three, I'd order the small size instead so I can definitely get to the fried rice and ramen noodle add-on — the broth was that good. Meat lovers, go medium! Carb lovers, go small! Haha, pick whichever suits your taste.

Free ice cream for every dine-in guest
To finish things off! Dine-in guests only get one free ice cream per person. And not some random no-name brand either!! Bibibig, Nuga bar, Screwbar, Melona — a lineup of nationally beloved ice cream everyone from kids to grandparents has a favorite from. I happily grabbed a Screwbar and ate it on the way out! Eating something spicy and finishing with a cool, sweet ice cream — honestly... the best combo.
Is the Ingye-dong gamjatang worth it? Final verdict
This is an Ingye-dong restaurant that's open 24 hours except for just one hour a week, and the interior was really spotless, with clean tableware and a tidy self-serve bar, so it felt like a place you could trust. If you want to taste a broth that gets deeper the longer it simmers, stop by Eolkeunhan Ppyeo Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch~
