Namwirye shabu-shabu buffet, espresso over vanilla ice cream: Dadam

I wanted shabu-shabu (hot pot with thinly sliced beef) one weekend, so my husband and I tried Dadam Shabu Shabu & Wolnamssam Wirye Branch (다담샤브샤브&월남쌈 위례점)! I wanted to eat a LOT, so I looked for an all-you-can-eat place.

Dadam Shabu Shabu Wirye Branch: hours and weekend wait

Dadam Shabu Shabu & Wolnamssam Wirye Branch is open daily 11:00–21:00, with last order at 20:00. There is no break time on weekends, and on weekdays the break is 16:00–17:00.

We arrived a little before 2pm on the weekend and there was a wait... we waited about 20 minutes before getting in. Lots of families come on weekends, so a wait is normal. It must be a real neighborhood favorite, which made me even more excited.

How much is the all-you-can-eat buffet?

On weekends and weekday dinners it's ₩21,900 per adult, ₩13,900 for elementary school children and ₩8,000 for preschoolers. Weekday lunch is ₩17,900 per adult, so keep that in mind!!

The hall is spacious, so I think it would work well for group gatherings 👍🏻 The window seats are 6-person tables, so they'd be great for families or groups.

Self-bar: vegetables, noodles and rice paper wraps

The self-bar at Dadam's Wirye branch has a great variety: shabu-shabu vegetables, mushrooms, noodles, rice cakes and more. As a rice paper wrap (wolnamssam) lover, I was SO happy with the variety ⭐️... It's all-you-can-eat, so I kept bringing more. I rolled so many wraps that I skipped dinner that day, haha. They also have cheese rice cakes and sweet potato rice cakes, which I loved.

Broth: clear plus spicy

You can pick 2 broths from clear, spicy and seafood, and we went with clear and spicy. I was curious about the seafood one too, but I played it safe!!!!! As soon as we arrived, I grabbed a huge load of vegetables and dropped them in.

Two meats: beef chuck and beef brisket

For meat there are two kinds, beef chuck (umokshim) and beef brisket (usamgyeop), and we helped ourselves as much as we wanted. The ultimate protein, haha ^^ ... Since it's all-you-can-eat, you can have as much as you like, and I think it's a great place for guys who want to eat plenty of meat!!

Rotating through the 3 wrap sauces

The wrap sauces come in chili, peanut and soy, so I brought all three and alternated between them 👍🏻 I never got tired of it.

Between all those wraps and the shabu-shabu with meat and vegetables, I ate loads of veggies I normally don't touch, which felt great... On days when shabu-shabu calls to me, I think I'll come here often!!!!

Finishing with fried rice and kalguksu noodles

They have fried rice ingredients ready too, so we fried rice on one side and boiled kalguksu (knife-cut noodles) on the other, haha. We know our food, right!!!!! Try adding minari (water dropwort) to the fried rice too, so fragrant 👍🏻 (There are also ramen noodles, sujebi (hand-torn dough flakes) and glass noodles, so take whichever you like!)

Dessert coffee and ice cream: the espresso combo

Dadam's Wirye branch even has coffee and ice cream for dessert, so you get a café stop after the meal, which made me even happier ❤️ (Honestly I had no expectations for the coffee, but it was rich and nutty and surprised me. Even if you're full, please try the coffee! You can get iced Americano too.)

My husband had his ice cream in a cone, and I followed the recommended recipe: espresso + vanilla ice cream = totally Paul Bassett vibes, seriously. Please try it..!

Takeout and parking

On the way out I noticed they do takeout too..! If you live nearby, getting it to go at this price could be nice.

There's parking on basement levels 1 and 2, and parking time is covered, so you can visit without worry. My husband and I both said, "Now we get why there's a weekend wait!" and wrapped up the weekend nice and full. If you're craving shabu-shabu, give it a visit 👍🏻🙏🏻👍🏻🙏🏻
