Anseong date café at night: pineapple coconut juice, Chat Baker
In short
Chat Baker Brunch & Bakery Café is a 500-pyeong bakery and brunch café inside 512 Square in Gongdo-eup, Anseong, Gyeonggi. After a day at Anseong Farmland, the writer arrived after 8 p.m., when most of the bread had sold out. The writer still enjoyed a ciabatta, a Mont Blanc, the signature Jeju fresh carrot lemon juice and a fresh pineapple coconut juice by the 1st-floor water curtain and in the gallery-like 2nd floor. Chat Baker is a satisfying Anseong date café: come early to pick bread, or come in the evening for the drinks and atmosphere.

The 500-pyeong 1st floor with its water curtain
The moment you step into Chat Baker, the sense of space hits you..

The café is 500 pyeong in total, with wide spacing between seats and really good natural light~ And it isn't just big. The space itself is decorated so tastefully~??

Especially the water curtain across the front of the 1st floor! It totally stole my eyes. When I first saw it I thought it was raining outside.. hahahaha. Sitting on a big sofa watching it, the sound of falling water and the lighting were so soothing.
How is the bread made, and is any left in the evening?
Chat Baker takes its bakery seriously! They say they mix and bake everything by hand every dawn, and age it all with natural sourdough, with no artificial additives. The butter is said to be 100% milk butter, not margarine or blended butter. Never a miss, truly.

Maybe that's why the bread is so popular. I went in the evening after 8, and almost all the bakery items were sold out.. sniff, such a shame.

With a heavy heart I picked a ciabatta and a Mont Blanc. At Chat Baker you put the bread on a tray yourself!
Chat Baker drinks and brunch menu
They also say they make their drinks' ingredients in-house, from vanilla bean syrup to lemon syrup to fresh chocolate. The coffee selection is wide, you can choose your beans, and there's decaf too!!

They also serve brunch/dinner.. from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. you can order pasta, risotto and gnocchi.

The 2nd floor feels like an art gallery, with plenty of outlet seats
After picking up my drinks I climbed the stairs to the 2nd floor, and wow, a space that made me go "woooow"!!!

The whole interior felt like an art museum or exhibition hall✨ Just so cool!!!!

There was a separate floor-seating area on one side, and with so much space and so many tables, I sat down with no worry about finding a seat~ Most seats also have outlets, so it looked great for working on a laptop or studying. Super good~.~
There was an LP area too, so aesthetic.. isn't it? I wandered around and picked a spot I liked. Everything was so pretty it took me forever to choose, haha.
How do the Jeju carrot lemon juice and fresh pineapple coconut juice taste?
I wanted something refreshing, so I ordered Chat Baker's signature drinks: the Jeju fresh carrot lemon juice and the fresh pineapple coconut juice.
The Jeju fresh carrot lemon juice had none of carrot's dry, stuffy taste, just fresh and zesty! The fresh pineapple coconut juice was sweet and cool, and maybe because of the coconut it tasted like a resort holiday, haha. Chat Baker's drinks are rich in flavor yet clean.

Mont Blanc and ciabatta
The Mont Blanc I ordered alongside had a rich butter flavor and was sweet and delicious. The layers held up, and it's the kind you keep reaching for~~

The ciabatta was crisp outside and chewy inside! I'd say it earns the title of Anseong bread hotspot ^,^

Chat Baker's outdoor terrace and overall mood
Step outside the 1st floor and you reach an outdoor terrace, and the mood there is really lovely too. It's perfect for zoning out to the sound of the water curtain, and with the soft lighting the vibe is amazing. On a nice day, terrace seats for sure.
Above all, even though it's a big café, it isn't chaotic; the mood is calm overall, so I felt comfortable the whole time. It really felt like resting..? A place I truly want to come back to❤️ I totally recommend this Gongdo, Anseong bakery café as an Anseong date course!!! If you're wondering about cafés near Anseong Farmland, do stop by Chat Baker✨
