Beef buffet in Cheongna, Incheon after a workout with Mom: Jangsodam
In short
Jangsodam Eel and Beef Buffet Cheongna Main Branch is an all-you-can-eat eel and beef barbecue restaurant near Canalway in Cheongna, Seohae, Incheon. After getting back into exercise, the writer went with her mom on a Sunday evening and ordered the all-you-can-eat C Set (for 2) at ₩32,000 per person: sirloin, bucheotsal (top blade), thin-sliced brisket, chuck short rib, galbisal (rib finger meat) and yukhoe (Korean beef tartare). They ordered the sirloin one more time. Verdict: the beef at Jangsodam is good despite being all-you-can-eat, and the extra sirloin is a must.

Post-workout all-you-can-eat beef with Mom at Jangsodam Cheongna
I had dinner with my mom at Jangsodam Eel and Beef Buffet Cheongna Main Branch (장소담 장어 소고기 뷔페 청라본점), going for the beef-focused all-you-can-eat C Set. I've started working out again lately, so I've naturally been paying more attention to protein! After my workout I was wondering where to take Mom for dinner, and then I remembered Jangsodam Cheongna Main Branch, which has kept popping up on social media and is famous for its eel~
I originally planned to eat eel, but Mom said we've had a lot of eel lately and should fill our bellies with beef today, so this time we went with the Cheongna all-you-can-eat C Set :)

Where is Jangsodam Cheongna, and is there parking?
Jangsodam Cheongna Main Branch is at 10-17 Jungbong-daero 612beon-gil, Seohae, Incheon, on the 2nd floor (Units 206–208), about a 1-minute walk from Canalway behind Cheongna Women's Hospital, so it wasn't hard to find! The 4th to 6th floors of the building are a car park. We parked on the 4th floor and took the elevator down to the 2nd.
There are lots of Jangsodam signs inside the building, so even first-timers can find it quickly. Parking is free, which was convenient, and since we had booked ahead on Naver, a reserved table was already waiting for us~

Waiting times, groups, kids and pets at Jangsodam Cheongna
At the entrance of Jangsodam Cheongna there's a waiting area with a waiting-list tablet, and depending on the wait they offer side dishes, yukhoe bibimbap (beef tartare rice bowl) and discount events!
When we went in, it was only around 5 p.m. on a Sunday and there were already so many customers! Families, couples, groups of friends, all kinds, and the place is so big that it never felt stuffy, which made it nice to eat in!
Groups from 4 up to 120 people are welcome and corkage is free, so it looked like a good choice for company dinners too~
There's a separate kids' playroom and they have high chairs, so lots of families with children were visiting! Pets are also allowed if they're in a carrier or stroller :)

Jangsodam all-you-can-eat C Set: what's included and the price
Ordering at Jangsodam Cheongna is easy with a kiosk, and the staff kindly explained how everything works~

We ordered the all-you-can-eat C Set (for 2)! It includes 6 kinds of beef, yukhoe, pork, marinated crab, Hangang ramyeon, a drink, steamed rice and dessert, so ₩32,000 per person is a really good deal, haha

Extra beef can also be ordered through the kiosk, and the staff bring it to you, so you can eat comfortably at your seat~

What's at the Jangsodam Cheongna self-bar?
There's a ₩5,000 environmental fee at the Jangsodam self-bar, so I recommend taking only as much food as you'll eat! The self-bar is also nicely divided into zones~

There's a meat self-bar, a ssam (lettuce wrap) and sauce self-bar, a general self-bar, a dessert corner and even a Hangang ramyeon corner, each run separately!

The meat self-bar and how to use the grills
The range of meat was really wide too: Korean pork marinated galbi, traditional galbi, fruit-aged galbi, pork belly, pork neck, honeycomb pork skin, teriyaki dakgalbi (chicken stir-fry), spicy dakgalbi, salt-grilled chicken, handmade sausages and tteok (rice cakes)~
The grills are used differently depending on what you cook. The coated grill plate is provided once for eel, beef, pork belly, pork neck and pork skin, while the wire-mesh grill is for pre-grilled eel, pork galbi and dakgalbi, so just follow the notice next to the kiosk.
There were plenty of ssam vegetables, sauces, pickles and kimchi too,

The general self-bar and dessert corner
The self-bar had jeyuk-bokkeum (spicy stir-fried pork), tofu with kimchi, tomato pasta, chapssal sundae (glutinous rice blood sausage), assorted fritters, vegetables for grilling and all kinds of sauces~

The dessert corner had cookies, plum tea, assorted sodas,

a coffee machine and even soft-serve ice cream~

How good is the all-you-can-eat beef? Order extra sirloin
The Jangsodam C Set first arrived with sirloin, bucheotsal (flap meat), thin-sliced brisket, chuck short rib, galbi meat and yukhoe piled generously on one plate, and it looked so good right away! The marbling and color looked fresh, so I was excited before I even took a bite, hahaha
The sirloin had a really nice color, and from the first bite I could feel how tender it was~ It was juicy and rich, and even a light dip in the salt sauce was plenty tasty. I hadn't expected much quality from an all-you-can-eat place, but the sirloin marbling was good and it was as satisfying as a regular beef specialty restaurant, so we ordered sirloin one more time!

Top blade, thin-sliced brisket, rib finger meat and chuck short rib
The bucheotsal had a lively texture thanks to its sinew, and was mild yet rich, while the thin brisket cooks quickly, so it was easy to eat without feeling heavy! The beef galbi meat wasn't tough even when only lightly grilled, and

it was tender and had a nice rich flavor~

The chuck short rib felt a little dry, maybe because I grilled it a bit long, but

it was fun tearing the meat off the bone by hand, so I enjoyed it that way too :) The charcoal fire is definitely strong and cooks everything fast~
Yukhoe (beef tartare) and ssam lettuce wraps
The Jangsodam yukhoe was fresh with no frozen taste, clean with no gamey or fishy smell, and full of flavor. The ssam vegetables were fresh too, and wrapping the meat with different ones kept me from getting tired of it, so it tasted even better~
Cheese Bomb steamed egg and Yeonpyeong seasoned crab
The Cheese Bomb steamed egg (gyeran-jjim) side we ordered was satisfying too! It puffed up round and the portion was generous enough for two, and with cheese inside the fluffy egg it was even richer and went well with the meat, haha

The Yeonpyeong seasoned crab (yangnyeom-gejang) included in the C Set, we ordered at the very end through the kiosk~! It was packed with crab meat, spicy and full of savory depth~ We had half a crab each, just as a taste, haha
Soft serve for dessert and freebies at the counter
Even though I was stuffed with meat, I couldn't skip dessert! Mom and I finished with soft-serve ice cream, which was clean and refreshing to end on~! This time I skipped rice altogether and filled up on nothing but meat, hahaha. Since I'd just worked out and wanted to top up my protein, I was even more satisfied~
In front of the Jangsodam Cheongna counter there's dental floss, hair ties, phone chargers and fabric deodorizer, and they also take care of points and coupons, so it felt like they pay attention to small details, which I liked even more!

Is Jangsodam Cheongna a good Korean BBQ buffet in Incheon?
If you're looking for a barbecue restaurant in Incheon, I don't think you need to worry about the meat quality at Jangsodam Cheongna just because it's all-you-can-eat! I recommend getting the sirloin as an extra. Fresh yukhoe, a variety of beef cuts, the self-bar and dessert were all in one place, and the restaurant is spacious and cool, so it was comfortable to eat in even on hot days like these~

This time I mostly ate beef, but next time I want to try a set that includes eel, Jangsodam's signature dish! If you're looking for a family meal or company dinner in Cheongna, or are thinking about an all-you-can-eat place there, I think you'd be happy visiting :)
