Jangsodam Cheongna Main Branch has an above-ground parking lot in the building, so it's easy to come by car. There's plenty of room, so even on weekends or at mealtimes you can park without stress, and it was thoughtful to see spaces reserved just for expectant mothers.

What are the wait and the interior like at Jangsodam?

Jangsodam Cheongna Main Branch is already known as a Cheongna favorite, so there can sometimes be a wait. When there's a queue, they offer a thank-you event with perks depending on how long you wait, so the waiting time doesn't feel wasted.

The inside of Jangsodam is clean and pleasant overall! The tables are spaced widely so you can eat comfortably, and there are plenty of seats, so it looked easy to visit not only for a family meal but also for group gatherings or company dinners haha.

One side of the restaurant has a kids' playroom, so families who come with children can eat more comfortably too!

When you order, the basic side dishes set out for you include pa-chae (shredded scallion salad), pickled onions, ssambu (pickled radish wraps), kimchi, namul (seasoned vegetables), sesame-oil dipping sauce and ssam vegetables. They're a lineup that makes eel and meat taste even better.

The Jangsodam C Set is ₩32,000 per adult, a set where beef rather than eel is the star. It includes 6 cuts of beef + yukhoe (Korean beef tartare) + marinated crab + pork + a special dish + Hangang ramyeon + drinks + rice + soft ice cream.

After browsing the self-bar and heading back to our seats, a serving robot brought the beef we ordered to the table. Lots of restaurants have serving robots these days, but they still seem kind of fascinating every time I see one,, haha.

Why we chose the C Set for a boyfriend who doesn't eat eel

My boyfriend doesn't eat eel, so we ordered the C Set with beef as the main, and a plate of yukhoe came out along with the tempting beef.

The yukhoe looked fresh from its bright red color, and its soft, moist texture and nutty flavor were just right for whetting the appetite before the meal!

The 6 beef cuts in the Jangsodam C Set are beef short plate, sirloin, flat iron, skirt meat, rib meat and chuck ribs, so you can try several cuts at once.

It's a lineup that should really hit the spot for beef lovers, and since every cut has a different texture and flavor, each bite has its own charm, which made picking and choosing quite fun haha.

After the beef: pork and grilled chicken

At Jangsodam, once you finish the beef you can also fetch samgyeopsal (pork belly), moksal (pork neck), pork skin, grilled chicken, plus tteokgalbi (grilled short rib patties), rice cakes and sausages. We were already so full that sadly we couldn't try them, but with such a variety of meats, it looked like you could enjoy it to the end without getting tired of it :)

Dessert: soft ice cream topped with a cookie

After a hearty meal, I had soft ice cream 🍦 to freshen up. Its sweet, smooth taste gave the meal a clean finish, and I stuck a cookie in mine to make it a little more special haha. As an all-you-can-eat place, they even have dessert, so you can enjoy it fully right to the end 🤍
