Millak-dong sashimi bar for a birthday seafood spread: Gwanganda Jjji
In short
Gwanganda Jjji Gwangalli Main Branch is a sashimi restaurant on the 6th floor of Sanbada Hoetown in Millak-dong, Suyeong, Busan, serving a single dachi hansang (set seafood course) menu, with floor-to-ceiling windows facing Gwangan Bridge (Gwangandaegyo) and Gwangalli Beach. For a birthday, the writer booked through Naver and had the ₩55,000-per-person dachi set at Gwanganda Jjji: side dishes, live octopus and raw shrimp, a mixed sashimi platter of flounder, sea bream, sole and sea bass, then crab stew and abalone porridge. Verdict: the Gwangan Bridge ocean view and generous spread made Gwanganda Jjji a satisfying birthday meal, with portions big enough to leave the writer stuffed.

Why I picked Gwanganda Jjji for a birthday meal in Gwangalli
Gwanganda Jjji (광안다찌) is a seafood restaurant on the 6th floor of Sanbada Hoetown in Millak-dong, where you eat a dachi set (a multi-course spread of seafood and side dishes) while looking at Gwangandaegyo Bridge. My birthday fell during this Busan trip, so I wanted a proper seafood feast 🎂🤍
Eating sashimi right by the sea, looking at the bridge... if you come to Busan, you have to do it at least once, right?! 🌊 So I searched around and ended up at Gwanganda Jjji! The food is varied and generous, and the sea view through the huge windows was so good it was pure healing 🥹💕

How do you book and park at Gwanganda Jjji?
You can book through Naver reservation, and there is parking support at the public lot right in front of the restaurant. I booked for our headcount on Naver! Having reserved ahead, we were shown straight to our seats when we arrived, which was so nice and easy 🫶🏻
If you're driving around Gwangalli and Millak-dong looking for good food, parking is a worry, isn't it? 👀

Parking support at the public lot right in front of the restaurant is the best 🙌🏻 Being able to visit with a little less parking stress was something I liked too 🤍
Gwangandaegyo Bridge ocean view from the 6th-floor windows
Step inside Gwanganda Jjji and Gwangandaegyo Bridge and Gwangalli Beach spread out in one view through the big windows. I went up to the 6th floor and skipped into the restaurant, and the first thing that caught my eye was the sea view through the windows.. it feels so wide open, amazing 👀✨
The window view is so pretty that I kept looking outside even while eating, you know..🫢 (🤍The best seats are first come, first served🤍) Isn't the view just so, so pretty?
The place is clean, the staff are kind and the atmosphere is nice, so it works for a date, and since there are separate rooms it would also be good for bringing parents, a family gathering or a company dinner! 🤍✨ Perfect for a private, comfortable meal and a drink, right? 🍻
Gwanganda Jjji dachi set price and basic lineup

Gwanganda Jjji runs on a single dachi set menu, ₩55,000 per person / ₩110,000 for 2 🤍 Now let's really dig in 💕

Wow! Kimchi pancake, cream shrimp, salad, sprout wraps, eel, skate salad, soy-marinated crab, roll gimbap, pufferfish skin, cockle salad, grilled abalone and more came out one dish at a time!

Starting with the salad 🥗

It was some kind of roll, but I forgot the name.. 🥲 Anyway, a tasty roll :)

Sweet, sour and spicy skate salad!

Cheese cream grilled scallops 🤤

Crispy kimchi pancake.. 🥹🤍 Maybe because it had been a while, but it was so good! Crispy outside and moist inside, the kind you keep reaching for!

The plump cream shrimp came out piping hot, freshly fried, yum 🦐💕 Need I say more..

The grilled abalone was soft and nutty and so good, and

Pufferfish skin and cockle salad. The cockle salad is a rice thief (so good with rice), I tell you?? The seasoning is no joke..🤤
Healthy sprout wraps

And why is the soy-marinated crab so good? Ahh.. I love soy-marinated crab, you see. I polished off the crab too 🤍
Even nutty eel 🫢 It was fun eating each kind. The dachi set came out really generous, pretty and neat. So I took a ton of food photos >.< 🤍
Live octopus, live shrimp and other living seafood
After the basic dishes, the Gwanganda Jjji dachi set brings fresh seafood: live octopus, abalone, live shrimp, conch and sea squirt. And.. it's not over yet!!!! While I was snapping photos, the seafood made its entrance..

The live octopus and live shrimp especially were still moving, so you could feel the freshness with your eyes 👀 They kept moving and moving, so I ate them last.. eek
Ahh.. this is Busan, isn't it~~~ 🐙🦐 If you're hunting for a Millak-dong spot and want to eat lots of fresh seafood together, this kind of lineup is great, right? With so many dachi dishes and seafood coming out, it's also good to visit with a group and pick what suits your taste.
Mixed sashimi: flounder, sea bream, sole and sea bass
The Gwanganda Jjji sashimi platter is made up of flounder, red sea bream, sole and sea bass, and came out after the seafood. Ta-daa—✨

Wow.. the looks are a total event haha. Flounder, sea bream, sole, sea bass 🤤 The lineup is solid and beautifully plated, so of course I took photos first 📸
The sashimi was simply fresh and chewy.. 💓 I ate it exclaiming how good it was ✨ Eating sashimi while looking at the sea has a great mood, and eating it on my birthday somehow made it taste even better 🥹

You can even make sushi like this! So personally, this is a place I'd introduce to anyone looking for a sashimi restaurant in Gwangalli! Especially if you want to enjoy the sea view while eating a variety of sashimi and seafood, I think you'd be satisfied. The reasons I recommend Gwanganda Jjji are exactly this ocean view and the generous spread 🤍
Finishing meal: crab stew, braised fish, tempura and abalone porridge
The Gwanganda Jjji dachi set ends with meal dishes like crab stew, braised fish, tempura and abalone porridge. Perfect to the very end haha
The crab stew was spicy and kick-y, seriously delicious, a real crab stew spot..

Even braised fish with radish.. and shrimp tempura and crab tempura.. 🫢🫢🫢 After eating one thing after another from the start, my belly was really stuffed by the end haha. You truly need to come with a solid appetite~~~~ 🤤🩵
If you're on a Busan trip and want a generous seafood meal with a sea view and Gwangandaegyo Bridge view, consider this Millak-dong spot 🙌🏻 If you're looking for a sashimi restaurant in Gwangalli with a nice atmosphere, or want to eat while looking at the bridge, save this one 🫶🏻 That's the end of my story about the generous birthday seafood spread at Gwanganda Jjji in Busan 🌊💕
