Cheonan café with a stroller: matcha mochi flan to go, Brewers
In short
Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch is a coffee and French-style baked-goods café in front of the bus terminal in Sinbu-dong, Cheonan. After a stop at Shinsegae Department Store, the writer pushed her stroller over, took away one iced Americano and about five baked treats such as financiers and madeleines, shared a butter rice cake financier with her daughter on the terrace, then enjoyed a matcha mochi flan and chocolate and lemon madeleines at home. Brewers Coffee is a good Sinbu-dong café for picking up baked treats to go with a little one.

Ugh, isn't the weather so hot these days?! Just going outside is already exhausting, so iced Americano is basically my lifeblood lately. That means I'm visiting cafés even more often than before, and my daughter has discovered café desserts, so she keeps wanting to go out with me.

Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch: hours and parking
Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch is open 12:00-21:00, with last order at 20:30. Parking at the café is difficult, so if you're driving, I'd recommend a nearby public parking lot.
We had stopped by Shinsegae Department Store and just stepped out in front of the terminal, so we left the car and came with the stroller, haha. I didn't know this, but the Sinbu 4 Public Parking Lot in front of the café is free for the first 30 minutes, so that's worth knowing if you're doing takeout like us!!

A busy café: takeout during my daughter's nap time
With its atmospheric interior and a reputation for great coffee and desserts, Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch is packed with people every time I come. We wanted to sit and eat, but it overlapped with my daughter's nap, so we decided to take the desserts home with a drink and relax there, haha.

Which baked treats did I pick?
Brewers has all kinds of tempting desserts on display, like financiers (small almond butter cakes) and madeleines, and every time I take forever choosing, lol. Now my little miss wants a say too, so it takes even longer as I look for things she can eat, haha.

For the baby I usually stick to the most basic financier and hide the others as much as possible, though I don't know how long this strategy will work... lol. Anyway, these are French-style baked goods made the same day, and overall they were crisp outside and moist inside! Sweet, and they go so well with coffee.
I really wanted to try every single one, but I held back and narrowed it down to about five, lol. I worry that when my daughter is older, we mother and daughter will get greedy and pick a ton, but for now I'll just enjoy it, hehe.

Even though it was crowded, I only took one iced Americano for myself and the rest were all baked treats, so it came out quickly and I picked it up.

Butter rice cake financier on the terrace first
The walk back to the department store with a child felt too far and tiring, and my husband offered to bring the car, so we sat on the Brewers terrace with a financier while waiting, haha. My daughter kept going "beep beep" and singing, so we couldn't wait any longer... (?)

Among the desserts with that lovely smell, I picked the butter rice cake financier (beopteo-tteok, a chewy rice-cake style) that looked so good. It was chewy and sweet. Honestly it was a bit sweet for my daughter, but since we shared one, I turned a blind eye (?) that day. I figured she'd nap better if she was in a good mood... heh.

Matcha mochi flan and madeleines at home
With my little princess sound asleep, it was finally dessert time, nice and relaxed!!! The iced Americano and all the baked treats were delicious. I can't remember the name, but there was a matcha mochi flan (?) with matcha and chewy glutinous rice mochi, which was unique and tasty. For the one sprinkled with coconut, I scooped off just the cream, and we all shared it again when my daughter woke up.

The chocolate madeleine my husband picked was good too, with the crunch of nuts, haha. The popular signature lemon madeleine (?) was sweet and just right for a break with a cup of coffee.
It's also great to take along when visiting a friend's house. If you're looking for baked treats, I recommend Brewers Coffee in Sinbu-dong, Cheonan~
