Paju brunch café with a Meat Big Brunch that feeds three: Brick Rouge

In short

Brick Rouge (브릭루즈) is a four-floor brunch and bakery café on Jimok-ro in Paju, Gyeonggi. On a return weekend visit right at opening, the writer ordered the Meat Big Brunch set (42,000 won) and the smoked salmon eggs Benedict set (20,500 won), then toured Brick Rouge floor by floor. The Meat Big Brunch is a set for two but generous enough for three, which makes Brick Rouge the writer's number one brunch spot in Paju.

BRIQUE ROUGE (브릭루즈). The address is 143 Jimok-ro, Paju-si, Gyeonggi, and it's open daily 09:00–21:45.

As someone who spends every weekend hunting down big cafés in Paju and Ilsan, Brick Rouge in Paju is the place I most want to recommend for brunch. I've been once before and posted about it, and this time I went again and was totally happy with my brunch!

Is parking easy at Brick Rouge in Paju?

Parking at Brick Rouge is easy. If you come a bit early, you can park right in front of the café, and there's also a dedicated lot right next door.

Brick Rouge exterior and parking in front of the café

Brick Rouge is a big café, as big cafés in Paju go, and every floor has a different interior, so you can settle into whichever space you like. I took a photo of every floor. It has four floors, but there's an elevator, which makes it easy to pick up brunch, food or bread.

How are the floors at Brick Rouge laid out?

Brick Rouge 1F – ordering, pickup and the bakery

The 1st floor of Brick Rouge has the ordering counter, the bread selection and the pickup spot. The bread and ordering area is right on your left as soon as you walk in and you can see it all at a glance. There are tables here too, which work well for groups, and the high ceiling makes the space feel wide open.

Further in is the area for choosing bakery bread and desserts! There's a good variety, and I'll go into detail below.

Head to the right and you'll find the pickup zone. You order where the bakery is, but you collect your order separately on the right.

Even though the pickup area has a big kitchen, there are tables and chairs on one side too, and on my way out I noticed that a lot of people eat brunch here.

Brick Rouge 2F – small garden and open terrace

The 2nd floor is labeled small garden and open terrace, with a sky-bridge-style (?) walkway running through the middle so it's easy to move around.

I think this side is the open terrace, probably because the whole front is floor-to-ceiling windows. The wood tones were impressive, the cacti in the middle were a nice accent, and the space felt warm and cozy.

I'm guessing this side is the small garden. Big plants sit in the middle like a botanical garden. The lush greenery seemed to add warmth to an interior that would have felt cold with only tables. Whenever I visit Brick Rouge, I always sit in the small garden area for brunch. There's a real comfort that the plants give 🌿

Brick Rouge 3F – floor seating and outdoor area

The 3rd floor has floor seating, which families with kids usually prefer. It's definitely a good floor to visit with children because chairs for kids are all ready. Oh, and although this is the 3rd floor, there's a nursing room on the 2nd floor, so keep that in mind.

The 3rd floor also has a separate outdoor space, another all-wood area! It's covered with canopies, but it's a proper outdoor garden. It looks great for brunch on a nice day, with a mini stage, a photo zone and plenty of plants.

Brick Rouge PH floor – the sunset space

The top floor, the PH floor, is labeled "the space where the sunset unfolds." It's smaller than the other floors, with books on one side and a fully open terrace further in.

This space is totally open, and I thought the view would be gorgeous if you came up at sunset.

How do you order brunch and drinks at Brick Rouge?

Brick Rouge brunch and drink menu board

Brick Rouge has a wide range of brunch and drink menus, plus sets, and ordering a set gets you a reasonable price. You can order at the kiosk too, so it's convenient!!

What breads does the Brick Rouge bakery have?

Cream desserts such as Montblanc at Brick Rouge

You can't talk about big cafés in Paju without bakery bread and desserts, right? Brick Rouge has everything from cakes and cream-filled Montblanc to mammoth bread and macarons.

The bread selection is varied, but since I went right at opening this day, many breads hadn't come out yet. Even just the ones on display all looked delicious. But Brick Rouge's brunch is really good and generous, so of course I ordered brunch again this time!

How much is the drink discount on Brick Rouge brunch sets?

Meat Big Brunch and eggs Benedict ordered at Brick Rouge

The brunch I ordered at Brick Rouge was the Meat Big Brunch and the smoked salmon eggs Benedict. Order the Meat Big Brunch as a set and you get ₩4,000 off 2 drinks; order the smoked salmon eggs Benedict as a set and you get ₩2,000 off 1 drink. That makes it much better value, so I recommend the sets.

Smoked salmon eggs Benedict set (₩20,500): how does it taste?

Brick Rouge smoked salmon eggs Benedict set

The smoked salmon eggs Benedict set at Brick Rouge is ₩20,500. It's eggs Benedict with arugula, smoked salmon, bacon, cheese, green beans, roasted tomato, a poached egg, wasabi sauce and hollandaise sauce over a soft English muffin!

It's a properly made poached egg, so if you pop the middle and eat it together, it's pure honey-sweet bliss. The size is on the big side and it comes with a salad too, so even though it's a 1-person set, it's enough for 2 people to share!

Meat Big Brunch set (₩42,000): is it really enough for three?

Full table with the Brick Rouge Meat Big Brunch set

The Meat Big Brunch set at Brick Rouge is ₩42,000. Brick Rouge's signature brunch menus are two: the Brick Rouge Big Brunch and the Meat Big Brunch. Last time I had the Big Brunch, so this time I ordered the Meat Big Brunch, and I was totally happy with it.

First, the juicy, well-cooked pork neck steak was grilled properly, not dry at all, just pure juiciness. The tender grilled chicken thigh has a coating a bit like fried chicken seasoning, and the amount of seasoning was just right for me. The plump sausage was big and bursting with juice.

There are also perfectly grilled mushrooms, big garlic butter shrimp and scrambled eggs! In the middle, a fried egg sits on a soft English muffin.

There's even grilled pineapple and a salad with homemade yogurt dressing. Lots of variety, tasty, and the portion is generous to the extreme 👍

Why Brick Rouge is my top brunch café in Paju

This was my return visit to Brick Rouge in Paju, and it's still truly number one for brunch. When you order brunch at a big café, the price aside, the lineup and flavor are often disappointing, but Brick Rouge's Meat Big Brunch is a 2-person set that's generous enough for 3 people, and above all, every item in it is really delicious 🩶

If you're looking for a brunch spot or brunch café in Paju, I really, truly recommend Brick Rouge.
