I raised it to its highest position. Depending on the angle and place where you use it, you can raise and adjust it to the setting you need.

At first I wondered whether I should attach it to the windshield, but I thought it might block my view, so I passed. Looking around, though, it seems like a lot of people drive with one attached to their windshield.

How to use the MagSafe ring and suction pad

MagSafe has been supported from the iPhone 12 onward, so if your phone is an earlier model, attach the ring like this and it will stick to any device. Do not lose the included ring—make sure you keep it.

If the surface is embossed or made of a material that does not stick well, use this included pad. Attach this first, then attach the dashboard MagSafe car mount, and you can use it more easily with even stronger grip.

You just need to wipe down the spot where you will attach it with the included alcohol wipe and dry wipe.

Ta-da, here it is attached in my car. My dashboard has this mat-like thing on it, so I wondered where I should stick it. This seemed to be the flattest area, so I attached it here.

I wondered whether I should use the included pad, but this is the flattest part of my car and it stuck so well. I chose this spot because this angle is the most comfortable for viewing navigation while driving. The angle was really good throughout the drive, and when I had a brief stop—though I should not do this (?)—it was the perfect position for taking out my phone to check something and putting it back in the mount.

No matter how much I shook it, it did not fall or wobble at all, so it is seriously awesome. I honestly did not expect much. I thought, “It will fall off if there is a sudden bump or hard brake, right?” But not at all~~ It really stays put well.

It grips the surface so well, and the height and angle are so easy to adjust one-handed, which was convenient and nice.

The pros and cons, despite no charging function

If you are looking into a MagSafe car mount or dashboard mount, I totally recommend this great-value, long-lasting 비티냐. It does not have a charging function, which could be a downside, but you can just connect a charger. Considering the price and value, I do not think that is really something to worry about.

MagSafe mounts that attach to the air vent are convenient because they sit lower, but they block the air-conditioning airflow in summer and the heater airflow in winter. After repeating that whole hot-and-cold cycle so much, I decided to skip products that mount on the air vent, and I really think that was the right call.
