Today was a bit of a special day, so I went on an anniversary date to somewhere with more atmosphere than usual. Allegro in Bangi-dong! I booked ahead through Catchtable before going.

Italian food and live jazz in Bangi-dong
It’s a restaurant for Italian food, and in the evening you can enjoy a live jazz performance too—perfect for an anniversary or special-date spot!
Walking to Allegro from Songpanaru Station

Once you get off at Songpanaru Station, it’s an easy walk to find!

A two-person-table-filled interior and Lotte Tower view

Most of the tables were for two, and there were way more tables than I expected. The simple interior really added to the atmosphere, haha.

This was the view I spotted while eating—an absolute Lotte Tower view! The view is good too.
Ordering from a tablet with menu photos

See above for the menu! They brought us a tablet, so we could comfortably check the photos while ordering. We ordered!!
- Sous-vide pork neck steak ₩33,000
- Carbonara ₩19,000
- Seafood salad ₩20,000
- G wine red ₩12,000 × 2
- Live music charge ₩10,000 × 2 people

First up was the focaccia served before the meal. It seemed like they make it here themselves.

Then our ordered glasses of wine came out.

Seafood salad and authentic carbonara
The seafood salad was generously loaded with fresh seafood—mussels, shrimp, and squid—and colorful vegetables including tomato, olives, onion, and bell pepper. It also had lime juice, making it perfect for whetting the appetite as an appetizer!

The carbonara had that rich, thick style based on egg and cheese, with plenty of cheese and pepper on top 🧀 No cream—just guanciale and cheese in a truly authentic carbonara! Real carbonara, even topped with guanciale.

I put it on the pre-meal bread too, and it was delicious. It was even better topped with the seafood salad!

Tender sous-vide pork neck steak with pepper sauce
Last came the sous-vide steak. When I cut it in half, the cross-section was nicely cooked; maybe because it was sous-vide, it had a subtle pink hue inside (but it was fully cooked!).

Being sous-vide, it was so tender and delicious.

And the steak sauce was such a kick!! It was pepper-based. Maybe because it had been a while since I’d had pork neck steak, but I enjoyed it so much, hahaha.

Anniversary lettering requested through Catchtable
They said they can prepare an anniversary lettering service if you request it in advance, so this time I asked for lettering too (when booking through Catchtable!). It came with crème brûlée and a brownie as well 😮 The crème brûlée was totally, completely our taste ☺️
Delicious food, a lovely space, and even a jazz performance made this anniversary date more memorable than usual ♡ I also personally liked that ordering alcohol isn’t mandatory! The jazz performance was seriously so good 💕 I liked this place so much that I already want to come back!!
If you check the Catchtable notice, you can see the schedule of which person will be performing jazz that day, so it’s handy to check! It might be nice to use that as a reference when booking, haha.
