I took my youngest daughter by the hand for a spring walk at Olympic Park! 🎈 After riding her scooter and running around to her heart's content, she started making a huge fuss about being hungry.

At one word from my daughter, I immediately got fired up and started searching for a good restaurant near Olympic Park 😆

Easy parking and group seating for dining out with kids

When you drive out to eat with kids, the thing you worry about most is... parking, right? This place has a large parking lot right in front, so parking stress was zero. So convenient!!

Once inside, I found that the restaurant was very spacious, with a private group room that fits up to 25 people! I've already bookmarked it as a future family gathering spot for bringing my parents and getting all the relatives together 👍 Dangsan Odol Bangi Branch is a well-known Korean BBQ favorite near Bangi Station!

Snowflake ribs and special pork cuts grilled over charcoal

Hot charcoal was set down, followed by a neat spread of side dishes. We ordered the beef my daughter loves, this restaurant's best pork dishes, and Korean meal dishes to finish everything off 😋

Thick-cut snowflake ribs

The first dish out was the beautifully named snowflake ribs! They are premium-grade LA-style beef ribs, as thick as a steak 🥩 I grilled them until the charcoal aroma had soaked in and they were nicely browned, then tried them with just a little salt. The juices burst in my mouth and the meat simply melted away. A truly great restaurant!!

Even my picky youngest daughter, who never eats tough meat, ate this better than anything else, saying, “Dad, it’s so nutty and delicious!” 🥰 If you're looking for beef near Olympic Park, you absolutely have to try these snowflake ribs!

Kkodeulsal and scored pork skin

Next up were the best-selling kkodeulsal and scored pork skin. Kkodeulsal is a special pork cut that yields only 400 g from a whole pig, and its pleasantly chewy bite is a real treat. Dip it in bubbling meljeot (fermented anchovy sauce), and the savory flavor explodes 💥

And then there was the hidden card you absolutely cannot skip: pork skin, or “scored pork skin.” The fine cuts were so neatly scored that it grabbed my attention before I even tasted it. I heard it was a specialty featured on Wednesday Food Talk, so I ordered it without hesitation—and it would have been a disaster if I hadn't! Grilled over charcoal, it was crisp outside and springy inside, with a rich nutty flavor filling my mouth. This is a must-order that I strongly recommend if you come here. So chewy. 🤤🔥

Mulberry-leaf sujebi and perilla-oil makguksu after the meat

After enjoying the meat, it was time for Korean food to warm us through! We ordered the mulberry-leaf tteollegi sujebi (hand-torn dough soup), which is known as a Korean meal dish near Bangi Station. The chewy dough is made in-house with mulberry-leaf powder, and it comes loaded with dried shrimp and vegetables in a spicy yet earthy doenjang (soybean paste) broth... It felt like every bit of me was warming up. Amazing.

And we couldn't leave out the perilla-oil makguksu (buckwheat noodles), made with 100% buckwheat noodles! The fragrant perilla oil and house special sauce came together so well that I kept eating even though I was full 🍜 I hear their fire-kissed stir-fried webfoot octopus and whelk doenjang stew are also hugely popular at lunch, so next time I'll have to come back for a Korean lunch!

The large parking lot made parking easy, the spacious restaurant is great for group gatherings or company dinners, and best of all, it has everything from beef and special pork cuts to thoughtfully prepared Korean meal dishes.
