On a nice day you just want a cool drink outdoors, right? So I headed to Another Level, a place with a rooftop, to enjoy drinks with some atmosphere in Euljiro! Euljiro usually makes you think of hidden restaurants tucked down alleys and old-school charm, and adding an open-air space on top of that is extra appealing in this weather!! It's great for chatting in the cool breeze, so if you're looking for a bar with atmosphere in Euljiro, this is the one I'd introduce: Another Level~

Another Level is at 11 Euljiro 12-gil, 4th floor, Jung-gu, Seoul. It's open Monday to Saturday, 17:00–24:00, with last order at 23:00. It's closed every Sunday.

Which floor is the rooftop near Euljiro 3-ga Station?

The indoor space of Another Level is on the 4th floor of the building, and the stairs up to the 5th floor lead to the open-air rooftop. It's near Euljiro 3-ga Station, so it's easy to get to! The rooftop was the whole reason for this visit, and what's charming is that you still feel the Euljiro alley vibe but drink in a more open space. When people say Euljiro yajang (outdoor street-table drinking), you usually picture tables set out in the alley, but Another Level's rooftop is up on top of the building, so I got a different kind of mood in the middle of the city!

Is a rooftop in Euljiro too cold on a chilly day?

In case it gets cold, the Another Level rooftop has hand warmers and blankets, so feel free to use them~ The best part of this visit was definitely the open-air rooftop!! At an Euljiro yajang you get that outdoor feeling along with Euljiro's distinctive city atmosphere, which feels totally different from an indoor bar!! If you want somewhere with atmosphere, it's a pretty Euljiro bar I'd recommend as a date course too!

What comes on the Another Level Platter?

What I ordered at Another Level was the Another Level Platter, plus soju and beer. The platter has a varied lineup: melon, jamón (Spanish cured ham), gotgam-mari (dried persimmon wraps), cheese and homemade dried fruit, so you get everything from salty to sweet, and it works well for sharing among several people!

At a bar it's nice to order dishes one by one, but a platter that lets you taste lots of things together is an easier pick. We came for a second round and were already full haha. The drinks are varied too, from soju and beer to highballs, wine and cocktails, so you can choose by taste.

Starting with the complimentary snack, soju and beer

The complimentary snack at Another Level is a snack-style bite like Ogamja (potato snacks)!! Starting with a cold sip of beer and then adding soju~~ The rooftop setting makes even an ordinary drinking night feel more special!!

The platter arrives, and how it goes with somaek

Finally the Another Level Platter arrived. Drinking soju and beer (somaek, the soju-beer mix) with all those different bites, glasses naturally got passed around and I got drunk on the mood~

With sweet fruit, salty jamón and nutty cheese, it offers very different flavors, which made it a good match for both soju and beer. It's a space where you can sit back and enjoy the mood, so I think of it for a casual second round in Euljiro, or whenever I'm craving an Euljiro street-table night!

Who should you go to Another Level with?

Another Level was an Euljiro bar where you can enjoy a variety of snacks and drinks along with the charm of an open-air rooftop. Euljiro has plenty of bars with personality, but being able to drink on a rooftop on a nice day felt like Another Level's own appeal, so it's good for get-togethers with friends, and also as an Euljiro date course if you want a different kind of mood with a partner.
