Jamsil beef Korean BBQ: 1% snowflake flower galbi set at Yukmong

The only mall open on the first day of the holiday turned out to be Lotte World Mall..? haha. The weather cleared up too, so I went to Jamsil to walk around Seokchon Lake and check out the mall, and ended up eating beef at the Seokchon Lake BBQ spot "Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch" 💖 They stayed open through the holiday, so it was easy to just drop by and enjoy ❗️ I was originally going for pork, but the beef quality looked so good I switched last minute and finished it all 🥰

Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch is open daily from 12:00 to 24:00, with a break time from 15:00–17:00 (no break time on Saturdays/Sundays). Parking is free for up to 4 cars in front of the restaurant, and rooms, group seating, and private hire are all available.

Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch is located 498m from Songpanaru Station Exit 2 ✔️ We walked from Jamsil Station Exit 11, and it was close to Seokchon Lake too, which was nice ✨ It's inside the Bangi-dong restaurant alley, and with free parking for up to 4 cars right in front, it seems like a good spot to visit by car too..💖 They use the basement plus 1st and 2nd floors, so the building looked spacious and clean from outside..!

Is Yukmong Bangi's seating good for team dinners or dates?

Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch has different seating on every floor — partitioned seats on the 1st floor, group and curtained seats on the 2nd floor, and private rooms in the basement — so it works well for both team dinners and dates. Right as you walk in on the 1st floor, there were 4 tables of private partitioned seating, and it felt nice and spacious 💖

This is the 2nd floor, one level up ✨ There was mostly group seating here, plus private seats with curtains you can draw! The whole space felt bright and open, so it would be perfect as a team dinner spot for a Seokchon Lake BBQ place 🤎

The basement space is entirely private rooms, giving it an even more private atmosphere 🤎 The bathroom is downstairs too, and it was super clean, which I liked ✨

Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch's menu has set options for both beef and pork — the Special Assorted Set, Hanwoo/Hanu Pork Set, Snowflake Set, and more — plus a good variety of side dishes..💖 We went back and forth between the Hanwoo pork assorted set and the 1% Snowflake Flower Galbi Set, and ended up picking beef ✨

Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch's side dishes are mala cucumber salad, spicy radish salad with fish roe, lettuce and green onion salad, japchae (glass noodle stir-fry), soy-marinated crab, and pickled onions. We had booked through Naver Reservations, so the table was already set when we arrived ✨

The mala cucumber salad had a subtle kick to it and was a nice standout, and the soy-marinated crab was really tasty too 💖 A place that serves crab as a side dish is rare, rare 👏👏 For sauces we got pickled ginger, maldon salt, ssamjang (dipping paste), fresh wasabi, and a fish tamarind sauce — the fish sauce was the surprise kicker..🧡✨

The doenjang stew that comes with the 1% Snowflake Flower Galbi Set 🧡 A big whole chunk of radish inside gave it a spicy, refreshing flavor ✨ It's exactly the flavor I love, so I added rice and finished it right away 💖
