I had some errands in Haeundae over the weekend and went looking for a restaurant the kids could come along to — and found somewhere unusual that I already want to go back to.

What is Smith's Farm on Haeundae-ro 483beon-gil like?

Smith's Farm is a farm-concept Italian restaurant at 31 Haeundae-ro 483beon-gil, Haeundae-gu, Busan. I pass by this area all the time on the way to my parents' place, and I had no idea a spot like this existed here. This is Smith's Farm, a go-to Western food restaurant in Haeundae — I loved it so much that even after just one visit, I keep thinking about going back. Highly recommend.

Unlike the impression from outside, once you step in there's a spacious dining area set half a floor down.

The high ceilings give a great sense of openness, and the tables are spaced far apart, so it's popular with families with young kids but would suit a date or a gathering of friends too — a restaurant almost anyone would enjoy.

This place was named a top business in the 2024 Korea Brand Consumer Evaluation Grand Prize and the 2025 KCIA Korea Consumer Industry Evaluation for Italian food in Haeundae-gu — so it's definitely worth recommending as a top Western food spot in Haeundae, right?

Carrot cushions and frog bowls: kids' tableware at Smith's Farm

True to its name, carrots are everywhere at Smith's Farm hahahaha. Where do they even get vegetable cushions that big — I wanted to let my youngest, who doesn't eat vegetables well, nap on one of these haha.

Since a lot of family groups and parents with young kids come here, they're genuinely thoughtful about children's tableware too. I've never seen such cute frog bowls anywhere else — aren't they adorable? And then the carrot-shaped cutlery set haha, if your kid hates carrots, they'll probably start loving them after meeting Smith haha.

Smith's Farm menu: the starred dishes to order on a first visit

You can already tell the menu won't be ordinary. Even just reading the menu before ordering, it says Smith's Farm always uses Italian olive oil, so whatever you pick, the flavor felt guaranteed.

If it's your first time at Smith's Farm in Haeundae, I think you won't regret trying the starred menu items. It's an open kitchen, so you can watch the cooking too, and it kind of feels like being abroad. Seriously.

Mokjang beef risotto ₩22,800 / Butter octopus pasta ₩19,800 / Kids' pasta ₩14,800

This is what we ordered — I loved that there's a dedicated pasta for kids and that the spice level is adjustable. On top of that, none of the dishes felt like things I'd seen elsewhere; they're all given a Smith's Farm twist, which made me even more excited.

The receipt comes in a paper bag printed with vegetables hahaha. I'm someone who loves cute little details, so even the bill made me gasp with delight hahaha. Not exactly a girl anymore, but there's still a bit of that girlish spirit left in me, apparently haha.

Ranch beef risotto ₩22,800: why the kids finished it

The risotto came out first, topped with grilled enoki-like long mushrooms as garnish, so even before tasting it, my eyes were already excited by the texture.

And the taste exceeded expectations! I'm a blogger so I go to a lot of restaurants, but it's been a while since I found a Western food restaurant this unusual and memorable. The beef was tender with every bite, and the risotto wasn't greasy at all, just full of savory flavor — the kids ate it up too.

Kids' pasta ₩14,800 with an adjustable spice level

The dedicated kids' pasta comes as a tomato pasta, and since you can adjust the spice level, kids can choose according to their taste. The sauce was so rich that I found myself surprised — did my kids ever love pasta this much?

Serving it out into the cute little frog bowl was so adorable hahahaha. I feel like Smith's Farm could sell these bowls and they'd fly off the shelves.

Butter octopus pasta ₩19,800 may be too spicy for children

The noodles are made with squid ink so they're jet black, but the combination with the flavor is so elegant...

Loaded with squid, octopus, and other seafood, so the texture was great, but a warning — the pepper flavor is strong, so it might be too spicy for kids. But if mom and dad like a bit of kick, this one's a yes!

Dipping the squid into the wasabi sauce that came with it was so good and tender it almost felt like late-night food, and I thought, so this is what Haeundae is like. Seriously, this good?

And finally, even the mouthwash placed in the restroom was a nice touch... A perfectly finished experience down to the last detail, don't you think?

Verdict: eating out with kids at Smith's Farm in Haeundae

It's not like we actually went abroad, but

• it felt like we did,
• and the unusual dishes were all delicious beyond expectations without a single miss,
• something almost anyone would love,
• so if you're looking for a top Western food restaurant in Haeundae, I recommend Smith's Farm without hesitation!!!!

On the way out, they gave the kids a gift too — carrots again hahahahaha, carrot-shaped pens hahaha. Is it possible that this Mr. Smith's farm is actually a carrot farm hahahahahahahahaha.
