🚘 Parking info at Haneobuui Godeungeosarang Haeundae
There's parking space right below Haneobuui Godeungeosarang. Unauthorized parking is ₩5,000 per 30 minutes. Just a heads-up: you need to move your car right after eating!
Inside the restaurant and the live mackerel tank
The interior was really clean and modern. It's a fairly large space too.
There's also a private room set up for group gatherings, which looked great for work dinners or family get-togethers.
And you all know a mackerel sashimi restaurant absolutely needs to have a live tank, right?? Whatever you say about other kinds of sashimi, freshness is everything for mackerel!!!! People go on about aged sashimi, but for mackerel, freshly caught is always best. So if you're going to eat mackerel sashimi, make sure you go somewhere with a live tank!!!
Haneobuui Godeungeosarang has a dedicated mackerel tank plus tanks for other fish, and both were kept spotlessly clean, which was reassuring. Keeping tanks clean is honestly harder than it looks.
🍴 Menu and order: mackerel + horse mackerel sashimi for 2, 62,000 won

The menu is huge (I only photographed part of it). Since the place is literally called "mackerel love," of course we had to order mackerel. We got their signature dish, mackerel sashimi + horse mackerel sashimi for 2 (₩62,000). It's a seasonal menu.
What comes with the set, from buckwheat noodles to mulhoe
This is basically served like a full course. I felt pampered the entire meal.

First up: a bite-sized buckwheat noodle dish. Cool and refreshing, great palate opener. Strong start.
Then a whole spread arrives — salad, kimchi pancake, and various side dishes. That kimchi pancake is such an MVP. This alone could down a whole bottle of soju, but sadly I drove here.
Raw shrimp too!!! Woohoo

Dip the raw shrimp in chojang (vinegared chili sauce) and it's springy, tangy-sweet, no fishy taste at all — perfect.

My beloved mulhoe showed up too. We ordered the set for 2 and got portions basically the size of a main dish — really generous.
Let's mix it up well.

The sauce is tangy-sweet and cooling, packed with vegetables and a good amount of raw fish, so I scraped the bowl clean. Throughout the meal I kept spooning up this mulhoe broth.
How do the mackerel and fall horse mackerel sashimi taste?
The mackerel sashimi + horse mackerel sashimi arrived with dry ice fog for effect. Look at that color. Just-caught, incredibly fresh, glossy as anything.
You can already tell from the color that the mackerel sashimi is fresh.

I didn't expect much from the horse mackerel sashimi, but it was so good?? I've been converted to horse mackerel sashimi.

The mackerel sashimi had zero fishy taste and was so fresh!!!

Mackerel sashimi is only real when eaten wrapped. The combo of gim (dried seaweed) + seasoned onion + ssiseun-ji (washed radish kimchi) + makjang (a spicy dipping sauce) + garlic is a total win.
I also made little sushi bites with the rice they provided. Good, good.

The horse mackerel is so savory and rich. Maybe it's extra tasty because fall is its season. You'll want to go soon while it's this good.

Delicious down to the very last piece.

Fried shrimp heads to finish the meal
Fried snacks for dessert — they fried up the shrimp heads left from the raw shrimp earlier, plus whole fried shrimp!

Crispy and savory, really good.

After paying, they even gave us vitamin C candy haha, full course indeed. A perfect meal.
Final verdict: when is Haneobuui Godeungeosarang Haeundae worth a visit?
With such a wide menu, you can go here any day you're craving fish and pick whatever you like. Since they also do lunch service, it's perfect for a midday meal, and with private group rooms available, Haneobuui Godeungeosarang works well for family outings and work dinners alike. Highly recommended if you're looking for a mackerel sashimi restaurant in Haeundae, a lunch sashimi spot in Haeundae, a local favorite in Haeundae, or the best mulhoe restaurant in Haeundae.
