Baby-friendly Wanjeong Station BBQ: cold noodles and rice, Dwitgolmok
In short
Dwitgolmok Ddotgalbi Geomdan Main Branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant in Geomdan, Incheon, in the restaurant alley near Exits 2 and 3 of Wanjeong Station, where staff grill 72-hour aged Jeju pork for you. Visiting with a baby, the writer ordered 2 servings of Jeju pork ribs (ddotgalbi), 2 servings of Jeju pork collar, mul naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles in broth) and a bowl of rice, and the staff grilling left time to look after the baby and eat at ease. The pork collar and the Jeju ribs were both so good it was hard to pick a winner, and the writer plans to return to Dwitgolmok Ddotgalbi.

Where is Dwitgolmok Ddotgalbi Geomdan Main Branch?
Dwitgolmok Ddotgalbi Geomdan Main Branch is at 11 Cheongma-ro 167beonan-gil, Geomdan-gu, Incheon, in the restaurant alley near Exits 2 and 3 of Wanjeong Station, so it's easy to find. I heard there was a really good BBQ place near Wanjeong Station, so I went to check it out!

Is there parking at Dwitgolmok Ddotgalbi?
The parking lot is outside, behind the restaurant, and fits only about 4–5 cars. It's shared with the neighboring shop too, so if there's no space, I'd recommend a nearby public parking lot.

I went at a slightly awkward time and luckily there was a spot~ Lucky me!
Inside Dwitgolmok Ddotgalbi and its aged Jeju pork
The moment you step in, you can see the aged meat. They say it's aged for 72 hours! This Wanjeong Station BBQ place is known for rib-bone pork belly and aged pork, so I was so, so curious.

The whole interior is round tables, and it was almost full of customers. Baby chairs are also available. I only photographed the tables after the customers had left. I hear there's a wait at peak times too!
Dwitgolmok Ddotgalbi menu and prices
There are just two meat dishes: Jeju ribs (ddotgalbi, 180g, ₩16,000) and Jeju pork collar (160g, ₩16,000). That is, pork ribs and pork collar.

- Jeju ribs (ddotgalbi) 180g ₩16,000
- Jeju pork collar 160g ₩16,000
- Alley stew (kimchi/soybean paste) ₩8,000
- Cold noodles, broth or spicy (mul/bibim naengmyeon) ₩6,000
- Jeju-style pork noodle soup ₩6,000
- Scorched rice in a stone pot ₩5,000
By the way, ddotgalbi (돗갈비) is said to mean pork ribs in the Jeju dialect.
Side dishes and 5 dipping sauces
The basic side dishes were neat and went perfectly with the meat. The pickled scallion salad in particular had a fresh, tangy sauce and was incredibly good.

Sauce matters a lot with BBQ, and here you get 5! Salt, wasabi, ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste), garlic salted shrimp, and meljeot (salted anchovy sauce), which you can't skip when it comes to Jeju pork.

The charcoal is ready~ Meat grilled over charcoal is just so good, right?

Our order: 2 servings of Jeju ribs and 2 of Jeju pork collar
We ordered 2 servings of Jeju ribs (₩16,000) and 2 servings of Jeju pork collar (₩16,000). I couldn't decide between the ribs and the collar, because I wanted to taste both.

Is Dwitgolmok Ddotgalbi easy with a baby? Staff grill for you
The staff grill the meat for you from start to finish, which makes it easy to come with a baby. They grill everything so carefully, and I loved that.

Going with a baby and grilling meat yourself is total chaos, but since they grilled everything from start to finish, it felt oddly relaxed even with the baby.
Thick Jeju pork collar and grilled aged kimchi
The thickness of the Jeju pork collar is wild, right? The menu says "thick for a reason." Thick meat is hard to grill, but an expert did it, so it cooked evenly and was easy to eat.
They grill aged kimchi over the charcoal too, brushing it with pork collar fat, such a skill! Honestly, this kimchi is the kicker. It went so well with the meat that everyone raved about it.

Beautifully grilled Jeju pork collar!

Finished meat is placed on an iron plate like this, so it stays warm and doesn't go cold.

The Jeju pork collar was full of juice, chewy yet tender, the kind you just keep eating~

Try the pork collar with garlic salted shrimp sauce
The pork collar is great with a slice on myeongi namul (pickled wild garlic greens) topped with wasabi~ but dipping it in the garlic salted shrimp was especially good. They say it's Dwitgolmok Ddotgalbi's signature sauce!

Jeju ribs: pork belly on the rib bone
Next up, the Jeju ribs! The famous rib-bone pork belly. They grilled the ribs right away so the flow wouldn't break. The staff did all the grilling and I just ate comfortably~
The skin on the Jeju ribs was chewy, and it was crispy outside and juicy inside, just as promised! Both the collar and the ribs were so good I couldn't pick a winner.

It's really good dipped in meljeot, and also with the nicely grilled kimchi. Eating with the different sauces and side dishes gave it a different flavor each time, which I liked~

How were the cold noodles at Dwitgolmok Ddotgalbi?
The mul naengmyeon (cold noodles in chilled broth) is ₩6,000. The weather was hot and I was craving naengmyeon, so I ordered one.

The broth was so refreshing and tasty, and the noodles were boiled just right. It's even better with a piece of meat on top.

Rice for the baby: a ₩1,000 bowl
A bowl of rice is ₩1,000, and I ordered it for the baby. The baby ate the rice and meat so well~ They also brought a spoon and fork, so feeding was easy.
Would we go back to Dwitgolmok Ddotgalbi?
Dwitgolmok Ddotgalbi in Dangha-dong offers a grilling service, so it's easy to visit with a baby, and above all both the ribs and the pork collar were so, so delicious that I was satisfied. I'd go back!
