Anyang brunch café with free weekend parking: Eggroom

On a weekend, I went with family for a light outing and brunch to Eggroom (에그룸) on the Dongpyeon-maeul café street.

How long is the walk to Eggroom in Dongpyeon-maeul from Indeokwon Station?

Eggroom is a brunch café on Anyang's Dongpyeon-maeul café street, about a 7-minute walk from Exit 8 of Indeokwon Station, so accessibility is pretty decent. If you live around Gwacheon, Anyang, Pyeongchon or Uiwang, Dongpyeon-maeul gives you that out-of-town drive feeling without actually going far, so I end up coming here a lot.

This time we went to a place that sounded like it was serious about eggs from the name alone — 'Eggroom (EGGROOM).'

As soon as I walked into Eggroom, the leafy green view through the first-floor picture window was really pretty. Overall it's a comfortable yet modern interior, exactly the kind of vibe perfect for a relaxed weekend healing session.

(Dogs can join both indoors and outdoors, so it looks like a great spot to stop by while out on a walk with your dog!)

The terrace outdoor seats also had a really nice atmosphere, but it was too hot in the middle of August to sit there, which was a little disappointing. Sitting outside for brunch on a cool spring or fall day would be perfect 💗

Eggroom's menu board and what our family ordered

Looking at the menu board, I honestly felt the prices were really reasonable compared to a lot of brunch cafés these days..! Plenty of places charge over ₩5,000 for an iced latte now 😭 and the food prices here were nice too 💗

I heard the fresh mango bingsu (shaved ice) price changes with the market rate, and when I went it was ₩23,000 💡 What we ordered was Egg Benedict, Shakshuka, an iced latte, and an iced americano.

After ordering, the food came out before long ✨ My husband and I have a routine at cafés — he gets an iced americano, I get an iced latte — and here, the moment the drinks arrived, I was impressed by the cup size 🕊️

At some places the drink cups are so tiny that three sips finish them off before the food even arrives, but Eggroom's cups were big with a generous amount, which I loved. I drank refreshingly throughout the whole meal without ever running out, and the price was reasonable too, so total satisfaction! Next time I'll definitely have to try their signature egg cream latte or almond cream latte 🤍

What comes on Eggroom's egg benedict plate

The signature dish I was most looking forward to! Eggroom's Egg Benedict comes with 2 pieces of poached egg and 2 large red shrimp served separately, plus a plate generously piled with golden-roasted mini king oyster mushrooms and arugula, giving it great texture too.

Before visiting, I saw on the shop's info that they only use antibiotic-free fresh eggs laid within 5 days, and eating it, I could really taste that freshness — the yolk was rich and nutty with zero fishy taste.

For reference, adding ₩8,000 gets you a version split into 3 servings (3 bowls), which I saw another table order — it looked very handy for groups.

I love shakshuka (eggs poached in spicy tomato sauce) enough to make it at home myself, so I ordered it. You can choose bacon or shrimp as the topping, but going around 1pm on a weekend, the shrimp was already sold out, so I picked bacon. (The bacon was tasty too, though.)

Two poached eggs sat generously in a rich tomato sauce, and eating it piled onto bread with the fragrant arugula and bacon was rich and spicy — the kind of flavor that keeps your hand reaching back for more.

When should you go to get Eggroom's egg tart?

After reading reviews saying it was delicious with plenty of vanilla bean, I'd been planning to buy Eggroom's egg tart (₩4,000) for my husband, but by 1pm on the weekend it was, unfortunately, already sold out ㅠㅠ It seems really popular, so if you want the tart, I'd recommend going early in the morning!

Still, the display case had plenty of distinctive desserts like pavlova (₩16,000) and butter rice cake, so it also seems like a good spot to come back for dessert time rather than brunch.

Eggroom parking and opening hours in Anyang

If you're driving, you can park in Eggroom's private lot behind the store (just move the 'no parking' cone aside and park). If there's no space, I'd recommend the 'Dongpyeon-maeul underground public parking lot (Gwanyang-dong 1709)' a 3-minute walk away. It's super cheap at ₩500/hour even on weekdays, and it's free on weekends, so there was zero parking stress!

Thanks to Dongpyeon-maeul's uniquely relaxed vibe and the generous, fresh brunch dishes at Eggroom, I got to spend a great weekend. Once it cools down, I'll definitely go back to sit on the terrace and finally succeed at getting that best-ever egg tart.
