In short
Sinpyeong Busan Milmyeon (신평부산밀면) is a new milmyeon (Busan-style cold wheat noodle) restaurant across from Hanam Middle School in Sinpyeong-dong, Saha-gu, Busan. After work, the writer had water milmyeon (8,500 won), water bibim milmyeon (9,500 won) and king mandu dumplings (6,000 won), and liked the icy slush broth, the nutty warm broth and the chewy noodles. Verdict: the mild, tangy water bibim milmyeon at Sinpyeong Busan Milmyeon suited the writer's taste best.

Today I visited Sinpyeong Busan Milmyeon (신평부산밀면), a new milmyeon spot in my neighborhood in Sinpyeong, Saha 😎

Where is Sinpyeong Busan Milmyeon and what are its hours?
Sinpyeong Busan Milmyeon is at 197 Hasinbeonyeong-ro, Saha-gu, Busan, on the first floor, across from Hanam Middle School. It's open daily 10:00–21:00 with last order at 20:30. It's within 5 minutes' walk of Sinpyeong Station, right next to Cheongsol Bookstore, a famous lottery ticket shop, haha.
It's so hot and humid these days 🥵 I was craving cold milmyeon, so I ran over the moment I got off work!! I spotted the sign from far away and was so happy to see it, haha.
The place is brand new! I heard milmyeon is ₩6,900 after 5 p.m., so I'll have to come back for dinner too 😁

There's a price notice outside the shop too, so I took photos. They sell king mandu (dumplings) by 2 pieces as well, which is perfect when a whole plate is too filling but noodles alone feel like not enough!!!

What is Sinpyeong Busan Milmyeon like inside, and is it good for eating alone?
The interior is neat and wood-toned like a café, and there are sofa seats too, so it looked good for eating alone 👍 I came at an awkward after-work hour, but customers kept coming in, the seats filled up quickly and delivery orders kept rolling in! Haha.

Disposable aprons are provided too 🙂

Sinpyeong Busan Milmyeon menu and prices
The menu has year-round items and winter items. New items include spicy water milmyeon, spicy bibim milmyeon, fried king mandu and warm noodles (onmyeon). I thought about trying something spicy, but ended up ordering this:
- Water milmyeon (물밀면) ₩8,500
- Water bibim milmyeon (물비빔밀면) ₩9,500
- King mandu (왕만두) ₩6,000

How are the warm broth and radish kimchi at Sinpyeong Busan Milmyeon?
When you sit down, they bring warm broth, radish kimchi and soy sauce for the mandu. And the warm broth was really good!!
Milmyeon places usually serve warm broth, but every shop tastes different, right? Some have a gamey smell 🥺 This one wasn't greasy and wasn't too rich, just nutty and savory, and it went so well with the noodles that it slid right down! 👍

There's a self-service corner where you can grab warm broth, radish kimchi, soy sauce, spoons and more. The radish kimchi was so good that I had two refills, haha.

The food came out quickly. Bibim milmyeon on the left, water milmyeon on the right, and the king mandu^_^ Every table has vinegar and mustard so you can season to taste, but it was already seasoned just right, so I loved it without adding any 😆
What does the water milmyeon (8,500 won) taste like?

The water milmyeon is ₩8,500, and the broth has icy slush floating in it! It came with egg, meat, cucumber, radish and more, and I liked that the pieces of meat were big, haha.
I've been worn out by the heat lately, and eating milmyeon with icy slush floating in it cooled me down to my core in no time, haha. It's a taste I'll keep craving all midsummer.

Can't choose between water and bibim? Try the water bibim milmyeon (9,500 won)
The water bibim milmyeon is ₩9,500, for when you can't decide between milmyeon and bibim milmyeon, haha. The seasoning had already soaked into the noodles, and it wasn't spicy, just pleasantly tasty.
Personally, the water bibim milmyeon suited me better than the water milmyeon! It would bring back even a lost appetite 😁

I heard they pull the noodles as soon as you order. That's why they were chewy and thin and didn't go soggy!
How many king mandu dumplings come for 6,000 won?

The king mandu is ₩6,000 and came with 5 pieces. Mandu is a must with milmyeon, right~ They were packed with filling and juicy from the first bite. Next time I want to try the galbi mandu with the spicy milmyeon, hehe.
Would I go back to Sinpyeong Busan Milmyeon?
Milmyeon comes to mind all the time in summer, and Sinpyeong Busan Milmyeon is cheap and not overly strong in flavor, so I think I'll visit often when the craving hits! I'd recommend the water bibim milmyeon over the water milmyeon, since its broth is tangy and not spicy!😍
If you've lost your appetite in the summer heat and want a bowl of milmyeon with icy slush floating in it, I hope you'll visit Sinpyeong Busan Milmyeon!
