₩11,000 shabu kalguksu restaurant in Munhyeon-dong, Busan: Yunujae
In short
Yunujae Munhyeon Shabu Kalguksu is a shabu-shabu and hand-cut noodle restaurant in Munhyeon-dong, Nam-gu, Busan, where ₩11,000 per person covers shabu-shabu, house-made kalguksu noodles and fried rice. On a rainy day the writer returned to Yunujae, ordered the red broth at spicy level and added ₩8,000 sirloin plus mushrooms, walking in from the building's parking lot without getting wet. The course only feels complete once the fried rice is done, making Yunujae a strong value meal.

I've been to this shabu-shabu favorite in Munhyeon-dong more than three times now — Yunujae Shabu Kalguksu. At a great price you get shabu-shabu, hand-cut noodles, and fried rice all in one meal, which makes it a satisfying spot for family outings, friends, or dates. Here's the location, menu, prices, and my honest review.

A rainy-day revisit: from the parking lot straight into the mall
I've now revisited Yunujae Shabu Kalguksu more than three times. There's a clear reason I keep thinking about it after every visit — a great-value meal, easy parking, and a place anyone, any age, can visit without worry. It rained again this time, but since we parked and walked in through the mall, we didn't get a single drop on us!

₩11,000 per person, plus ₩8,000 for extra sirloin
The biggest draw is still the reasonable price of ₩11,000 per person. Adding sirloin for just ₩8,000 more is such a fair deal! At this price you get to enjoy shabu-shabu, then the handmade noodles, and finish with fried rice — the satisfaction level is genuinely high.
You can choose red broth or clear broth, and pick your spice level, so pick whichever suits your taste. Since it was raining and I was craving something spicy and hot, I went with the red broth spicy version this time!

Adding all the beef to the red broth at once
Here's how to enjoy Yunujae Shabu Kalguksu the best way. Each table has a card explaining it — instead of dipping the meat piece by piece, they recommend putting it all in at once and boiling it! Doing this really lets the meat broth come out rich and deep.

The shabu kalguksu (hand-cut noodle) spread came out neat and clean. Even the spoons arrived sitting in hot water, which felt nicely hygienic. Since I've been eating a lot of meat during pregnancy, I decided to add extra meat right from the start. I love vegetables too, so I added mushrooms as well!

Broth loaded with mushrooms and minari (water dropwort), then the beef
At Yunujae Shabu Kalguksu, you get to enjoy the meat in a light, clean way alongside fresh vegetables, so it never feels heavy. When the broth first arrives, it's piled with mushrooms and minari (water dropwort), and the fragrant smell hits you right away! As the vegetable broth simmers and the meat goes in, the meat broth comes together quickly too, making it even tastier.

How do Yunujae's house-made kalguksu noodles taste?
And my favorite part is the handmade kalguksu (hand-cut noodles)! As you walk into Yunujae Shabu Kalguksu, you can see the noodles being made fresh right at the entrance. Maybe because they're made in-house, the texture is much chewier and doesn't have that heavy flour-y feel, so I finished the meal without feeling bloated — I really liked that clean finish :)

Finish with fried rice to complete the Yunujae course
After finishing the shabu-shabu, there's a must-eat: fried rice, the K-fried rice every Korean loves. They bring out stir-fried kimchi, seaweed flakes, sesame oil, and rice, and once you've eaten enough of the kalguksu and there's still rich broth left, you fry the rice right in it! The savory depth of the broth soaks straight into the rice, making for a satisfying finish all the way to the end.
Personally, I feel like the course at Yunujae Shabu Kalguksu isn't complete until you eat this fried rice. Value, taste, and service were all satisfying, and this meal reminded me exactly why I've come back so many times already.
If you're looking for a great-value spot where ₩11,000 per person gets you shabu-shabu, handmade kalguksu, and fried rice, I'd recommend Yunujae Shabu Kalguksu.
I'm planning to keep coming back here whenever the craving hits.
