Busan Korean BBQ in Jeonpo: shaved flower belly & dondu roll, Dwitdon
In short
Dwitdon Sanghoe, Jeonpo Branch (뒷돈상회 전포점) is a Korean pork BBQ restaurant in Jeonpo, Busanjin, Busan, that has specialized in special cuts of domestic pork for more than 10 years. The writer ordered the Dwitdon Samgyeop Set A (750g, ₩49,000), and its shaved flower pork belly and dondu roll overturned the idea that all thin-sliced pork belly tastes the same; the meal finished with rice stirred into a nutty doenjang (soybean paste) stew. If you want a Jeonpo BBQ spot that gets even thin cuts right, Dwitdon Sanghoe, Jeonpo Branch is the answer.

Self-bar and side dishes
The self-bar is set up so you can grab more side dishes whenever you run low, and I liked that it was kept neat. The sides include tofu kimchi, ssam vegetables, pickled scallions, jangajji (pickled vegetables), and mustard leaf kimchi, all good combos with meat.

There were sauces for the meat too, so I could enjoy it in different flavors.

What's in Dwitdon Samgyeop Set A?
What I ordered at Dwitdon Sanghoe, Jeonpo Branch was Dwitdon Samgyeop Set A (750g, ₩49,000).

The set comes with flower-belly shaved pork, premium pork belly, dondu belly, and dondu roll.

I was hungry, so I grilled the thin meat first, haha. To eat faster!

Is shaved pork belly all the same?
Eating the flower-belly shaved pork and dondu roll at Dwitdon Sanghoe changed my view of shaved pork. Honestly, I was one of those people who thought thin-sliced meat, like daepae samgyeopsal (shaved pork belly), is all pretty much the same, but after trying these two here, I changed my mind a little.

The thin cuts were really good at this Jeonpo BBQ spot, Dwitdon Sanghoe.

Why Dwitdon Sanghoe has so many regulars
I heard that Dwitdon Sanghoe buys the vegetables and ingredients for its side dishes directly at Bujeon Market every morning!! After more than 10 years in Jeonpo, I could see why it has so many regulars.

They also say the meat is always trimmed only as needed, so you can count on top freshness.

The thick cuts are good too, not just the thin ones. Dwitdon Sanghoe is a specialist in special-cut dwitgogi! Next time I'll order mostly those, haha. I can't even imagine how good they'll be. The grill itself cooks meat well, so there was zero inconvenience.
Finish with doenjang stew
The doenjang stew (₩5,000) at Dwitdon Sanghoe had a wonderfully savory flavor. I was about to burst after 750g of meat, but a BBQ meal has to end with doenjang stew.
Mixing rice into the doenjang stew to finish left me totally full. Next time I'll come for the special-cut dwitgogi. If you're looking for BBQ in Jeonpo, give Dwitdon Sanghoe, Jeonpo Branch a visit.
