Lamb is one of my absolute favorite meats..! So I went to Ichiryu Bucheon Hyundai Branch to really enjoy some haha. I went thinking back on the lamb ribs and soup curry I had in Sapporo, and the atmosphere was so good. It seemed perfect for families and for dates too!
Ichiryu Bucheon Hyundai Branch hours and parking
Ichiryu Bucheon Hyundai Branch is open 17:00-23:00 on weekdays and 12:30-23:00 on weekends, with a break from 15:00 to 17:00 on weekends. You can park for 2 hours free in the underground car park of the building.
If you live in Bucheon you know how packed it gets near Hyundai Department Store on weekends, with so many cars. But Ichiryu offers the building's underground parking, so it was super easy! Park on B1 and take the elevator up to the 1st floor!
The entrance to the car park is right next to the restaurant, like this. It was also selected for the Michelin Guide and has appeared on several TV shows, apparently?
Ichiryu Bucheon Hyundai Branch atmosphere and seating
The lighting at Ichiryu Bucheon Hyundai Branch is on the dark side, and it's a counter-seat setup where the staff grill right in front of you. Oh.. it was way more atmospheric than I expected! It was even dimmer than the place I went to in Sapporo, which I liked more, and the counter seats with grilling right in front of you brought back so many memories T_T Also, if you worry about your clothes smelling of meat, there are lockers where you can put your clothes.
This is the two-person seat we were shown to! Perfect for a date or a blind date, right? And if you can't decide what to order, recommended menus are written up like this, which was nice. We ended up ordering exactly the same...
A wide variety of drinks were on display, and there's group seating on the 2nd floor too, so Ichiryu Bucheon Hyundai Branch looked good if you're hunting for a decent place for a company dinner.

We ordered the fresh lamb ribs (₩33,000, 200g), the French rack (₩37,000, 180g), and the soup curry (₩32,000)! The soup curry is made in a set quantity each day, apparently? Trust and eat..!
And everyone, be sure to grab the review event! You can get a cold noodle dish called kosyomen, and after the meat and soup curry it works perfectly as a dessert-like finish!
+ Found a nice Ichiryu touch.. I tend to wonder about calories for each dish, and the menu lists calories per 100g haha. Lamb really does seem better for a diet (?) than other meats^^
How are the fresh lamb ribs and French rack grilled?
At Ichiryu Bucheon Hyundai Branch you first get side dishes like pickled green onion (pajeolim), jalapeños and a special sauce. The special sauce is tasty with chili flakes added. If you want to enjoy the meat itself, go with the kosher salt!
And here comes the meat we ordered haha. Wow.. the meat looks amazing T_T The staff grill everything right in front of you, so you just sit back and eat..
First they grill a variety of vegetables like green onion, tomato, eggplant, onion and mushrooms, then it's the meat's turn..! They grill even the meat clinging to the bone so deliciously!
And the really great thing is this little brazier! The food stays warm, so it tasted great the whole way through! + The amazing part: the vegetables are unlimited. These grilled vegetables are seriously good, and if you tell them which ones you want, they keep bringing them T_T
What do Ichiryu's soup curry and lemon rice taste like?
For the soup curry (₩32,000) at Ichiryu Bucheon Hyundai Branch, they first char the vegetables that go in with a torch, did you know?
Once everything is grilled, they add it in and bring it to a boil, and it's done! I really love soup curry, and this one was spicy with lamb in it, exactly my kind of thing T_T
Unusually, Ichiryu has lemon rice (₩2,000), so I ordered it to eat with the soup curry! It tastes a bit fresher than plain rice, and it goes surprisingly well with the spicy soup curry!
Finishing with the review event kosyomen
After eating until full~ the kosyomen from the review event! The noodle texture is unusual and it's a perfect finish! Taste-wise, think of it as halfway between naengmyeon (cold noodles) and soba!
It was so nice to have Genghis Khan-style lamb ribs instead of lamb skewers for the first time in a while, what a day haha! If you want lamb ribs in a place with a great mood, give Ichiryu Bucheon Hyundai Branch a visit. Recommended!
