Craving pasta or risotto in Yangji, Yongin, I headed to Ttukbaegi-e Dameun Italia (뚝배기에 담은 이탈리아), Yongin branch.
The name itself is unusual, so I was curious what kind of atmosphere to expect. Turned out it's a restaurant serving a wide range of Western dishes — pasta, risotto, pizza — and what really caught my eye was the wood-fired oven built right into the store, meaning there are oven-based dishes to try too.
Where is Ttukbaegi-e Dameun Italia in Yangji, and is there parking?

Ttukbaegi-e Dameun Italia's Yongin branch sits on Nampyeong-ro in Yangji-myeon, Cheoin-gu, Yongin. It's a convenient spot whether you're specifically looking for a meal around Yangji or just passing through. From the outside it didn't feel like a small neighborhood pasta joint — more like a decently sized restaurant, with an exterior that clearly signals an Italian eatery.
Parking was easy too, so driving there wasn't a hassle. In the Yangji area of Yongin you tend to get around by car a lot, so easy parking quietly matters when picking a restaurant.

Inside the restaurant and its wood-fired oven
Walking in, the space felt bigger than expected. It's cleanly arranged overall, making it a good fit for a family meal, a get-together with friends, or a date.

What stood out most was the wood-fired oven inside the store. You don't often see that at a typical pasta place, so I found myself checking it out even before the food arrived. With an oven like that on hand, this place is worth a visit if you're into pizza or other oven-based dishes.

Ordering from the tablet at your table
No need to flag down staff — you just browse the menu at your own pace on the tablet and pick what you want, which was convenient. You can check prices and dish types on screen and order right away, so even first-time visitors shouldn't have trouble.
After looking through the tablet menu, we ordered aglio olio and creamy seafood risotto that day.

The warm starter bread with balsamic
While waiting for our order, the starter bread arrived before the mains.
This starter bread was a bit different from the usual — it came drizzled with balsamic. Served warm, it felt cozy even before the first bite, and tasting it, it seemed handmade, which made it genuinely delicious.
Warm and soft in texture, with a mild, not-too-strong flavor — perfect as a starter. The balsamic added a subtle tang to the bread's plain, clean taste, and the two worked really well together.
Personally I usually think of starter bread as something light to nibble on before the main dish, but here the bread itself was so good that I kept reaching for another piece even before the mains showed up. Being warm and soft made it easy to keep eating without feeling heavy.

How the aglio olio tasted, and how big it was
Aglio olio is a garlic-and-oil-based dish, so it's a good choice on days when a heavy cream or tomato sauce feels like too much. The aglio olio we ordered that day had that classic clean, light oil-pasta feel that made it easy to enjoy.

Above all, the portion looked quite generous when it arrived. These days ordering pasta can sometimes leave you disappointed with a smaller-than-expected serving, but here the plate wasn't skimpy at all, making for a filling meal.
Why the creamy seafood risotto was the highlight
The second dish we ordered was the creamy seafood risotto.
Of everything we ate that day, the creamy seafood risotto was personally my favorite. I'd heard this place does cream-based dishes especially well, and after tasting it, I understood exactly why people say that.

The cream sauce wasn't too watery — instead it blended nicely with the dish, so it worked really well together with the rice. The seafood and cream sauce combined for a savory, smooth flavor, and I think anyone who likes cream sauce would be very satisfied with this menu item.
I especially think risotto needs a generous amount of sauce to taste good, and here the sauce and rice were so well combined that it was easy to keep scooping up spoonful after spoonful. If you like cream-based dishes, I'd personally recommend the creamy seafood risotto.

Prices and portions: was the meal worth it?
We ordered two dishes, and both came in generous portions, so we were pretty full after the meal. Taste matters for pasta or risotto, but a too-small portion is still disappointing — Ttukbaegi-e Dameun Italia satisfied on the portion front too.
Prices run from the late ₩10,000s to around ₩20,000s, which at first seemed like typical Western-restaurant pricing, but once you factor in the portion size, it didn't feel overpriced for a meal.

The overall vibe was comfortable rather than overly formal, which I liked. It seemed like a good spot for a family visit where everyone orders different dishes to share, or for a meal with friends who enjoy pasta and risotto.
Having the wood-fired oven inside set this place apart a bit from typical Western restaurants. Next time I'd like to try the oven-fired pizza too, not just pasta or risotto.
If you're looking for a good pasta spot in Yangji, Yongin, Ttukbaegi-e Dameun Italia's Yongin branch is worth a visit.

You could order aglio olio and creamy seafood risotto to share like we did, or if there are more of you, order pasta, risotto and pizza together to try a wider variety.
Above all, the portions were generous enough for a filling meal, and as someone who loves cream-based dishes, the creamy seafood risotto especially stuck with me.
It's a good spot to visit in Yangji, Yongin for a date or family meal when you want Western food, or when you're just looking for somewhere nearby to eat pasta and risotto.
This time we tried aglio olio and creamy seafood risotto, so next time I'd like to try the oven-based menu and work through more of the dishes one by one.
If you're in Yangji, Yongin and want a hearty Western meal, this place is worth keeping in mind :)
