Today I'm bringing you a review of Ttukbaegi-e Dameun Italia, a place that's become well known as a Yangji, Yongin restaurant to visit, haha.

On the weekend I was wondering what to eat with my kid, and since I'd been curious about this place for a while, the whole family went together. What stood out was the wood-fired pizza baked right in the oven and the pasta bubbling away in a ttukbaegi (earthenware pot) — this is Ttukbaegi-e Dameun Italia, a Yangji, Yongin restaurant!!! Haha, let's get started!!
Parking and how to find Ttukbaegi-e Dameun Italia in Yangji, Yongin
The Yongin branch of Ttukbaegi-e Dameun Italia is at 1F, 33 Nampyeong-ro, Yangji-eup, Cheoin-gu, Yongin. The location wasn't confusing at all, so I got there without trouble even on my first visit.

There's a parking space right in front of the restaurant, so parking wasn't really stressful. Haha, when you're going with a kid, this kind of thing turns out to matter more than you'd think.

The walk from the parking spot to the restaurant was short too, which made it easy to walk hand in hand with my child.
What is the restaurant like inside?

Ttukbaegi-e Dameun Italia has a bright atmosphere with sunlight streaming in through floor-to-ceiling windows. The moment I walked in I got a good feeling — the vibe was really nice.
The tables were spaced generously and there were plenty of seats, so even on a weekend I didn't have to worry about finding a spot.

There were a lot of families there too, with several tables that had kids, which put me at ease.

There's a wood-fired oven set up inside the restaurant, so you can actually watch the pizzas being baked, which was a fun little detail. My kid was fascinated by the glow of the oven and watched it for quite a while, haha.
Cream pane pasta served in a bread bowl
The dish that impressed me most at Ttukbaegi-e Dameun Italia was the cream pane pasta. It comes out with the creamy pasta filling a hollowed-out bread bowl.

The bread bowl arrives packed full of cream sauce pasta, and the look of it alone already seemed delicious.

There's fun in tearing off pieces of the bread and dipping them right into the cream sauce — the savory sauce and bread go surprisingly well together. It was loaded with mushrooms and other ingredients too, so we ate until we were quite full, haha. By the time I'd torn apart and finished the bread bowl itself, I really felt like I'd eaten well.

My kid ate the pasta noodles well too. The cream sauce was rich but not heavy, so it seemed easy to eat all the way through without getting sick of it.
Bulgogi salad pizza from the wood-fired oven

For pizza we ordered the bulgogi salad pizza, and the crust was thick and chewy. The center was piled with bulgogi and mushrooms, while the edges were topped with fresh salad, so it wasn't greasy and I kept reaching for more.

The sauce was drizzled on just the right amount, adding to the flavor — personally I love this combination. Watching the cheese and dough bake right in the wood-fired oven made me trust it even more, haha.

Every slice had a good balance of bulgogi and vegetables, so my mouth was full of flavor with every bite, which I liked. After finishing the whole pizza, the portion felt just right for the three of us.
Iced tea to finish the meal

The iced tea we had alongside the meal wasn't too sweet and was clean and refreshing, pairing well with both the pasta and the pizza. Since there was nothing spicy on the table it wasn't really necessary, but it was nice to have something cool to cleanse the palate. My kid took little sips of iced tea one after another, and it was so cute to watch, haha.

Overall, the menu lineup was satisfying and the atmosphere was nice, making it a great spot for a cozy family meal. The pasta came out in a ttukbaegi so it stayed warm until the last bite, and it tasted really good too.
In particular, being able to watch the pizza baked right in the wood-fired oven made it a place that was fun for the eyes as well as the taste buds when going with a child.
