Couples' 60-minute Thai massage in Jeonju Sinsigaji: Kim's Thai
In short
Kim's Thai Jeonju Sinsigaji Massage is a Thai massage shop on Hongsan 3-gil in the Sinsigaji district of Jeonju, Jeonbuk. We visited as a couple at 8pm on a weekday for the basic Thai 60-minute course, and the Thai therapists checked the pressure in Korean as they worked, so the neck and shoulders loosened up without strain. The pressure at Kim's Thai never went too hard and left a clear head afterwards, making it a place worth returning to when energy runs low.

Why this Jeonju couples' massage surprised us both
We went for a couple's massage in Jeonju and both of us ended up surprised for the same reason.

We both have straight necks, so our necks and shoulders are always a bit uncomfortable, and my husband's lower back isn't great either. Lately our condition had even been dragging down our work efficiency, so we headed to Kim's Thai on a weekday evening at 8pm. To cut to the point, the best part was being able to communicate comfortably with the therapists and fine-tune the pressure. Instead of that drained feeling you get from massages that are too strong, we left with clearer heads and better overall condition.
Kim's Thai parking, courses and prices to know before you go
At Kim's Thai Jeonju Sinsigaji, you can use the public parking lot about a 2-minute walk away — that's where we parked too.

Kim's Thai also offers parking support, so it was fine to drive there. The Thai courses come in 60, 90, and 120-minute options.

The types were split into basic Thai, aroma, Thai+aroma, and cream. As a couple, we went with the classic basic Thai 60-minute. The therapist started a timer, and the 60 minutes were kept almost exactly. Before starting, we were also given tip guidance — we were told about ₩5,000 would be enough.
Inside Kim's Thai: a spacious room that doesn't feel like a massage shop

Kim's Thai Jeonju Sinsigaji is on the 4th floor, and what surprised us walking in was how spacious the interior was. Rather than the typical massage-shop vibe, it felt more tastefully decorated. We changed into the provided short-sleeve top and bottoms and settled into the Thai massage comfortably.

The air conditioning was adjusted to the weather too, so there wasn't much discomfort during the treatment. The owner also seemed genuinely kind to each guest. It also felt like a wholesome, comfortable massage shop to visit as a couple, which we liked.
Thai therapists at Kim's Thai who speak enough Korean to check in
This was the part we liked most about this Jeonju couple's massage. Kim's Thai's local Thai therapists spoke Korean better than we expected.

They didn't just ask about pressure once at the start — they kept checking in throughout. Being asked repeatedly whether it hurt or felt okay made it easy to dial in the right pressure.

When the pressure is too strong, you can end up feeling drained afterward instead of refreshed, but this time that feeling was minimal. With a moderate pressure, we left feeling clear-headed and our overall condition improved.
The 60-minute basic Thai course, from neck and shoulders to full body
Before starting the basic Thai 60-minute course, they asked where felt uncomfortable. I mentioned my neck and shoulders are often the worst, so that's where it hurt the most.

The areas I mentioned got extra attention. At first they worked through the whole body while I was face-down, then had me turn over to continue. Partway through, they also asked if it was okay to use a cooling ointment.

It really did feel cooling like a medicated patch, so if your skin is sensitive, it's fine to say you'd rather skip it. A single massage obviously won't keep your body feeling good forever. So I found myself wanting to come back whenever my body starts feeling worn out again.
