When you're out with a kid, you're always wondering what to eat together, right? Today's post is about a pork cutlet (donkatsu) restaurant we visited in Gokseong, South Jeolla — Jinsim Wang Donkatsu Okgwa Branch. We ended up here after visiting Hwasun Kumho Resort Aquana with our family.
Where is Jinsim Wang Donkatsu Okgwa Branch, and is there parking?
Jinsim Wang Donkatsu Okgwa Branch is at 15 Cheonbyeon-ro, Okgwa-myeon, Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do. It's open from 10am to 9pm (last order 8pm), closed every Wednesday. There's a big parking lot right in front of the restaurant.

The restaurant is a standalone building, and maybe because it's built from brown brick, it had a really nice suburban-eatery vibe.

The lot has room for more than 20 cars, so there's zero hassle with parking.

Menu and prices at Jinsim Wang Donkatsu, plus unlimited drinks
Jinsim Wang Donkatsu Okgwa Branch has over 10 types of donkatsu alone, plus noodles like udon and rice dishes, covering a wide range of tastes. We ended up ordering one donkatsu, one rice dish for our kid, and a side.

Canned drinks are ₩2,000, but you can also get unlimited dispenser drinks for ₩2,000 per person :)

While looking around after ordering, I noticed disposable aprons set out. They also accept local gift certificates.

Is Jinsim Wang Donkatsu good with kids? Children's tableware and infant chairs
They're thoughtful about little kids too. Children's tableware is available, and infant chairs can be used. Not bad for a family meal, right?

I quickly snapped the interior while other guests were leaving haha. The beige tones gave it a warm mood, and the food looked delicious too.

There are two serving robots running around inside. They'd be a huge help during peak hours I bet haha.
For the side dishes, you just help yourself as much as you like at the self-serve bar.

There's also soup and stew there, perfect as an appetizer while you wait for the food, right?

All our dishes came out at once haha. We really ordered a lot, huh...ha

Usually when I come here I order the basic donkatsu or the sweet potato cheese donkatsu, but today I went with dishes I hadn't tried before.
Sausage curry rice bowl (10,900 won): the dish a 30-month-old devoured
First up is the sausage curry rice bowl, ₩10,900. It came in a huge bowl so I thought, won't we leave some behind? But luckily the rice was spread thin. It's a mild curry with a big sausage, a fried egg, and hash browns.

The sausage was on the slightly overcooked side rather than juicy, giving it a bit of chew.
I dabbed a little curry on it and gave it to my 30-month-old, and she wolfed it down haha. Plus, since the rice was spread thin, it cooled down quickly enough to feed right away — super convenient with a kid :)
Spicy cheese waterfall donkatsu (16,400 won): does the cheese really pour out?
The spicy cheese waterfall donkatsu is ₩16,400 — a cheese-stuffed cutlet topped with spicy sauce. We came to this Gokseong donkatsu spot, so of course we had to try the actual donkatsu, right?

It came with rice, sweet corn, and salad — and my little one polished off all that corn... aw, I wanted some too!!

When I cut it with a knife, the cheese came pouring out — truly a cheese waterfall, just like the name says.
It's called spicy cheese donkatsu, but with all that rich cheese, I didn't really find it that spicy. It's the perfectly spicy-tasty level of donkatsu haha.

The ratio of meat to breading was just right, and the crispy texture suited me so well I scarfed it down before it could get soggy haha.
It's not too spicy, so I wanted to feed it to my kid, but she's not quite old enough yet haha — next time!
Chicken tenders 4pc (5,500 won) at Jinsim Wang Donkatsu
The chicken tenders we ordered as a side were ₩5,500 — honestly, these were pretty much just for our kid haha.

Crispy batter, tender chicken breast, and a spicy chili sauce together completely cut through the richness of the donkatsu. My kid didn't want to eat it plain, so I cut it up small and dipped it in curry — and she went right back to devouring it (a handy tip haha).
King shrimp tempura 3pc (6,000 won): the order-every-visit side
King shrimp tempura, 3 pieces for ₩6,000, is what I order every time I come to Jinsim Wang Donkatsu. Because I love fried food and I love shrimp... getting to eat both favorites together, of course I have to order it!!! haha

I just trimmed the head off and bit right in — since it's fried fresh to order, the inside was super hot hahaha. That said, it can get a bit heavy if you eat too much, so about two per person is the sweet spot haha. The shrimp meat is so tender it just melts in your mouth.
The donkatsu portions are really generous, so if you have leftovers, they run a self-packing station so you can take them home — make use of it!
Verdict: a family meal on the way home from Hwasun Aquana
Jinsim Wang Donkatsu Okgwa Branch in Gokseong, South Jeolla, is a great spot to visit with kids, fully equipped with a huge parking lot and baby tableware — truly ideal as a family dining spot. From the classic crispy-outside-tender-inside donkatsu to the curry rice bowl and the hearty side dishes, the whole family got to enjoy a satisfying meal.
If you're looking for a hearty, no-fuss meal with the kids this weekend, or a good restaurant nearby after visiting Hwasun Aquana at Kumho Resort, Jinsim Wang Donkatsu Okgwa Branch — spacious, comfortable, and full of that suburban charm — will be a fantastic choice!
