What kind of restaurant is Sogogi Twist Yeongtong District Office Branch?

Today I'm sharing a place I've officially crowned as one of the best Korean BBQ spots near Yeongtong District Office in Suwon — my review of Sogogi Twist Yeongtong District Office Branch.

There's apparently a branch in Ingye-dong too, but the one I visited is the Yeongtong District Office branch!

It's newly opened so the vibe is really clean. Check the map for the exact location.

I went with beef in mind, but at these prices...? So we ended up thoroughly enjoying the samgyeopsal and moksal pork too, haha.

One more thing I really loved — parking! 🚗🚗 A lot of Yeongtong District Office BBQ places have terrible parking, but Sogogi Twist Yeongtong District Office Branch has a huge basement parking lot right in the building, so parking was super easy. Total satisfaction.

Parking is free for 2 hours in the building — we had dinner and then coffee nearby afterward, and we still didn't go over the 2 hours. Even better, haha.

Sogogi Twist Yeongtong District Office Branch opens at the same time, after 3pm, whether it's a weekday or weekend. We avoided the busy rush hour and went a little early, right after opening.

So the inside was pretty spacious! Not a huge place, but roomy enough — I think it'd make a good spot for a Yeongtong District Office work dinner too.

Being newly opened, it's spotless — 100 points on hygiene. Ventilation is great too, so it feels really fresh.

Sogogi Twist menu prices and kiosk ordering

Here's the price list at Sogogi Twist. Pork platter (samgyeopsal + moksal) 800g ₩74,000, 400g ₩38,000. Beef platter (prime) kkotsaewoosal + salchisal + jebichuri, 1kg ₩88,000, 500g ₩54,000.

They sell a good variety of both beef and pork, and the prices are genuinely kind.

Not counting our 26-month-old, we were 4 adults total, so we started with the 1kg beef platter. Ordering is easy — just use the kiosk on the table.

Wasabi soy sauce and pickled onions were set out individually for each of us first.

Then kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi), pickled perilla leaves, green onion kimchi, pickled onions — all the combos that go great with meat.

How does the 1kg prime beef platter (88,000 won) taste?

They laid it neatly on the charcoal grill. Great to have a husband who grills well — very reassuring. This is a solid Suwon Yeongtong District Office BBQ spot.

The visuals on Sogogi Twist's meat are no joke... the griller matters, sure, but the most important thing is the quality of the meat itself!

The restaurant logo stamped on the mushroom was really cute too, haha. It was still early evening, but we'd basically skipped lunch, so everyone was starving.

The charcoal heat was strong and the meat cooked fast. You can see the glossy shine on it, right?

Sides at Sogogi Twist: doenjang sulbap and cheese-bomb steamed egg

Another side dish we added, doenjang sulbap for ₩7,000. It came piled high in a big aluminum pot, rice already mixed in, and they thoughtfully gave us small plates for everyone.

Loaded with tofu, meat, and zucchini, the portion was substantial. The doenjang flavor was rich and genuinely delicious!!!

The adults said, let's have the doenjang sulbap, our little one can get protein from the steamed egg. But it was so good I ended up eating more of it than the baby... the steamed egg at this Yeongtong District Office BBQ spot is delicious too, sigh.

The cheese was a real bomb too, adding an even nuttier flavor. It never tastes like this when I make it at home — so strange.

Before the meat could overcook, I grabbed a piece fast and dipped it in just salt for the first bite. Wow... being prime grade, it's genuinely tender.

I also took a spoonful of the sulbap topped with cheongyang chili to fill up on carbs in between.

The grill was working nonstop. With this many people, the meat disappeared even faster.

Our little sweetheart ❤️❤️ was eating so well, it was adorable. So good, so good — I'm getting hungry again just writing this post...

Wrapped in pickled perilla leaf for another bite!! Meat, you really know how to move me.

You can grill it to whatever doneness you like, so I really enjoy self-grilling too. Though of course, my husband does the actual grilling, haha.

Adding the 400g pork platter for 38,000 won

1kg of beef really is a lot of meat. The portion for the price is honestly astonishing.

We polished it all off, and even though we were pretty full, the five of us got curious about the pork too. So we ordered the pork platter for ₩38,000, just to taste — samgyeopsal + moksal, 400g.

Wow, and we didn't expect much, but the pork quality blew us away. The samgyeopsal and moksal came as two thick, hefty chunks.

They wiped down the grill and started cooking again. The fat-to-meat ratio was a work of art, sigh. A Suwon Yeongtong District Office BBQ spot where even the pork seems like it's going to be amazing.

Sure enough, once we tried it, it rivaled the beef. Maybe don't name the place Sogogi Twist (beef twist) — mix the pork into the name too.

Moksal is my favorite, so I went for it first. Tender and juicy, so delicious. Beef and pork really do have different charms.

At Sogogi Twist, a Yeongtong District Office BBQ spot in Suwon, after trying not just the beef but a variety of pork samgyeopsal and moksal too, my conclusion is: everything is delicious!!!!! Full satisfaction on value, taste, and parking. Already want to come back ⭐️ Saved in my heart ⭐️
