I visited Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, a great spot in Nowon for a weekday-evening family gathering!

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch visitor information
Hours: Daily 11:00–21:30 Last order: 20:00 Parking: 2 hours free Facilities: High chairs available ⭕️

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch offers 2 hours of free parking when you use the parking lot, so it was convenient to drive! We went in at dinnertime, were told the closing time and prices, and were shown to a table right away.

Seating and a playroom for family gatherings with children
The restaurant was spacious and had so many tables! There were tables on both sides of the buffet, and there was also a group room by the playroom, so it seems like a great place to reserve for a group gathering in Nowon 👍
There were plenty of high chairs prepared to one side, making Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch a great Nowon restaurant with a playroom for a meal with children.
I also liked that the playroom was separated from the dining area. It is small, but it was kept tidy, so the kids played together happily ✌️

From gunkan and rolls to seafood sushi
Everything in the buffet hall was gathered in one place, so it was easy to move around while filling plates, and there were lots of items to browse.
At Kuu Kuu, the all-you-can-eat sushi buffet in Nowon, the rolls and gunkan (battleship-style sushi) came first, with more sushi varieties toward the back. Since I have the tastes of an elementary schooler, haha, I like gunkan and rolls, so I rushed to pile my plate high from the front section 😋

There was also plenty of fresh seafood, including cockle bibimbap (mixed rice), fresh salmon, soy-marinated raw crab, and soy-marinated shrimp. Next to it was an assortment of sushi all topped with sashimi 📍

What about the desserts and side dishes?
Right beside the sushi were fruit and dessert breads, and the fruit selection was varied too, making it nice for after the meal.
One reason we love Kuu Kuu is the Dippin' Dots, and they were waiting in the dessert area! There were also eight separate ice cream flavors, which the kids absolutely loved 🫶
One side had such a variety of meats, steamed blue crab and shrimp, pasta, pizza, and fried dishes, so they make great sides after your sushi main.
For made-to-order noodle dishes, there were jjajangmyeon, jjamppong, udon, and cold soba. Just place your order, then once your noodles are served, add whichever toppings you like and take them back to your table 👍
Drinks included everything from soda and juices to slushies and tea, and you could even make bingsu (shaved ice), so Kuu Kuu really takes care of dessert too 👏

There was a wide range of dumplings, soup, juk (rice porridge), and brothy dishes, including mala tang, doga ni tang (ox-knee soup), and sweet pumpkin porridge—lots of things children eat well, which was nice!
There were also so many dishes like sausages, creamy shrimp, tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), guobaorou (sweet-and-sour fried pork), and fried rice. Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch was even better because it had such a huge selection of food 📍
More than 10 kinds of salad were prepared, which is nice before a meal to help prevent a blood sugar spike. You can get unlimited draft beer too, and if you take part in the review event, the unlimited refills are free—definitely recommended 👋

A dinner plate of sushi and steamed blue crab
We filled our plates to the brim, and bringing back such a variety of things makes it look even more abundant, right? 👀

We focused on sushi, steamed blue crab, and meat dishes, and also brought back made-to-order jjamppong and udon loaded with seaweed flakes 🙌
The steamed blue crab was less fishy than expected and had plenty of meat, so my husband enjoyed it.

After finishing our meal properly, we even polished off four cups of Dippin' Dots for dessert ><
