It is on the 6th floor at 247 Nowon-ro, Nowon-gu, Seoul. Hours are 11:00–21:30 on weekdays and 11:00–22:00 on weekends, and parking in the Seoul Oncheon building basement is free for 2 hours.

Arriving at opening on the weekend and the seating

People who know buffets do an opening run. No question. I ran over for an out-of-this-world 11 a.m. weekend brunch. A brunch where you just pick at bits of bread does not satisfy me.

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch has such a neat exterior that I was happy from the moment I walked in. They serve fresh salmon sashimi, which is hard to find even at Kuu Kuu Gold. I am, after all, such a salmon fanatic that people used to call me a polar bear. Just seeing the banner got me excited.

Also, if you write a Naver review, draft beer is unlimited. Next time, I think it would be nice to come in the evening with friends and have a beer each!

The moment you enter the buffet, claim your table. Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch also has a group room that can accommodate up to 60 people, so it is perfect for company dinners or group get-togethers. It even has a playroom, making this an even better branch: adults can eat while kids play.

From fresh salmon sashimi to sushi

Now, let the serious food scan begin. First up is the roll station. The rolls greet you, lined up so neatly. There were so many varieties—my favorite salmon roll, salmon-cheese roll, shrimp-cheese roll, and ankimo gunkan (monkfish-liver sushi)—that I took a little of every single one.

This is the station I visited most: the Fresh Zone. It has Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch's special item, fresh salmon sashimi!

Next is the sushi station. I picked salmon, seared salmon, flounder, tuna belly, thin-sliced beef belly, and egg-and-shrimp sushi—only my favorites. Beyond these, there are dozens of sushi options, including yukhoe (Korean beef tartare), seared yukhoe, Gwangyang sirloin, eel, yellowtail, and more. Just looking at it makes me happy!

Pizza, seafood, and meat stations

Next are the pizza and seafood stations.

There is pepperoni pizza, Gorgonzola pizza, and piping-hot encroute soup, too~ Plus Uljin snow crab pasta. It looks so rich, right?

The seafood and meat stations are seriously packed, too! I do not really like shrimp or crab, so I did not eat them, but I love oysters, you know...? The cheesy grilled oysters and grilled oysters with chojang (sweet-tangy red chili sauce) looked insane. (They became my favorite menu item.) There were lots of meats too, including plenty of barbecue dishes such as smoked duck and pork ribs.

For noodles, there is a wide selection: jjambbong (spicy seafood noodle soup), jajangmyeon (black bean noodles), udon, and memil noodles!

And my love, Korean food~ There is aged-kimchi chicken stew, LA galbi, sundae (Korean blood sausage), tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), and even gamjatang fried rice! There are plenty of hearty dishes to cut through all that richness.

Korean food, Chinese food, and dessert too

And you cannot leave out Chinese food at a buffet~ There is kkwabarow (crispy sweet-and-sour pork), creamy shrimp, spicy garlic shrimp, mala shrimp, flower buns with stir-fried peppers, and even jokbal (braised pig's trotters) in a dongpo pork style. Amazing, right?

I am not interested in salad, so I will skip thatㅠ

And the dessert zone!! There is Dippin' Dots, the little bead ice cream I could not eat as a kid because it was either unavailable or too expensive... There are also neat, varied choices of ice cream, bakery treats, and fruit! Chocolate and green-tea crêpes, cream puffs, and so on and on—dessert has to end on something sweet!

At Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, beer is unlimited if you write a Naver review! And they give you Terra and Kelly! Honestly, if I had not driven, I would have had some, I would have!! But zero Coke makes me happy too...

Okay, okay, now let me show off the pretty plates I piled up. Lovely, right? The sushi and sashimi pieces are so big, the plate is overflowing—an absolute sushi-and-roll feast. My favorites were the salmon and aged-kimchi yukhoe sushi! Delicious.

The next plate was meat and sashimi. The salmon quality was truly unreal. The fresh salmon was bouncy and sliced nice and thick, so the texture was fantastic. Of course there was no fishiness—I ate even more than a polar bear.

And those cheesy grilled oysters... they tasted like such an indulgence, and I did not get tired of them even after heaping my plate, so I refilled them three times, okay? Strongly recommended. Truly.

And to finish, I ate a whole bowlful of the Dippin' Dots I could not have as a kid and finally made peace with it!
