Gimpo brunch café before a hotel stay: The Nillai
In short
The Nillai is a large brunch café in Gimpo, Gyeonggi, where guests can enjoy coffee, bakery items, and nature views. Four of us—my mom, daughter, and niece included—shared truffle mushroom pizza, seafood oil pasta, and pastries before hotel check-in, then shopped downstairs. Verdict: a relaxed first stop for a family trip with kids.

Four of us—my mom, daughter, niece, and I—set off for a one-night, two-day hotel getaway. While looking for somewhere to have brunch before checking in, we stopped by The Nillai.
As a large café in Gimpo, it has plenty of space and offers everything from brunch to bakery items, so I thought it would be a nice stop before starting our hotel stay. Our extended family had visited before after dinner at a nearby shrimp farm. It is a café we are fond of and visit from time to time.
The Nillai Before Our Hotel Stay

The Nillai was a large café in Gimpo where you can relax while looking out at nature.

The indoor space was roomy with generously spaced seating, and the nature outside the windows made it feel less cramped even with children along.

There were photo zones here and there, so it was nice to take pictures while waiting for our food. There was even a media-art space, which made it feel a little different from a café where you simply drink coffee. The kids were soaking up the travel mood too—

What especially caught my eye was that this café is run by a chef from 63.

With brunch on the menu, it was also a good place to have a simple meal before heading to the hotel.
Brunch and Bakery Items for Four

Since the four of us visited together that day, we ordered plenty of this and that.

For brunch, we had truffle mushroom pizza and seafood oil pasta. From the bakery, we chose a chocolate croissant, churros, and cream bread. We ordered an Americano and a strawberry latte to drink.

The pizza was delicious, with a gentle truffle aroma, and the seafood oil pasta was easy to enjoy without feeling too heavy. Once we shared the bakery items one by one as well, it was just right for four people, haha.

Personally, I was happy with everything overall, from the food and bakery items to the drinks.
Why It Was Hard to Leave After Just the Café

Actually, this was not my very first visit to The Nillai. I also like Kazumi on the first floor and stop by often, and I could not just pass it by that day—I ended up buying something again, haha.

So this time, we took care of both brunch at the café and shopping on the first floor. For a trip to Gimpo with kids, it made a nice relaxed stop for a meal, photos, and a break.

Especially on an itinerary with mom and the kids, it was convenient to have a place like this where we could eat and rest without rushing around too much.
If You Are Looking for a Brunch Café in Gimpo

Rather than going out of our way just for a meal at a Gimpo restaurant, we chose this as our brunch spot before beginning our one-night, two-day hotel getaway, and I was happy with the choice.

With its spacious setting and brunch, bakery items, and coffee all in one place, it suited family gatherings and a Gimpo trip with children.

You can take a break while looking at nature, and the media art and photo zones make it nice to wander around slowly after eating.

If you are looking for a large café in Gimpo or somewhere to visit with family, The Nillai would be worth adding to your itinerary.

We had a filling brunch and finished our shopping before the hotel stay, so now it was time to head to the hotel! The first stop of our one-night, two-day trip was off to a pretty full start :)
